Forgotten Hope 2 sound mod

UPDATED 07/07.2012

NEWS:
-v3.91 crash after battle is gone, added mortar barrage, Stuka diving and some Spitfires flying by. Also added some new songs for the hangar.
Guns sounds are not updated in this mod anymore, because I have moved over to the Historical Realism team and made a unique gun sound pack. You can check the latest version here: http://historicalrea...bel/gnomefather

Engine sounds are DISCONTINUED due to low popularity. Check out Gnomefather's engine sounds or any other sound mod that has engine sounds.

So I've gone throgh some hard times in my life right now. That's why I temporaliy removed the post. See THIS for more details.

Tired of the same boring and crappy sounds from World of Tanks?

Have you ever wanted some sounds which "packs a punch"?

Well, then you've come to the right place(or thread http://forum.worldof...mile-tongue.gif)!

I have spent some time adding some sounds from the Forgotten Hope 2 sound library to WoT's library, with some quite good results!

Hmm, I haven't seen heard that bug. Try a tier 1/2 tank while I fix the problem.

Okay, found the problem. Give me 10min fixing it. This "bug" only applies to medium tanks. Heavies and Light works fine.

Nope.

What Ithought should solve the problem, didn't solve the problem.

However it only seems to occur if you are using 88mm guns. Everything else sounds right(no real confirmation though)

I won't look any more into the mod for today. Need some sleep.  :Smile_great:

If some experienced FMOD'ers know what the problem is, then contact me via email.

Some help would be appreciated. :)

Already better than the original ones. Although i only played FH 0.7 from BF1942 i recognize some of the sounds or at least they are familiar and indeed have some crunch.

Since I'm using an engine-sounds-mod already, the guns' sounds are too quiet in comparison, but i guess, if you add the fitting engines, there will be no more such problem ;) Just keep on adding stuff :)
I switch to the WoT engines and give maybe give you feedback again.

edit: The volume fits better to the original motors, but i still feel that they have to be a little bit louder (but really not that much)
edit2: would make a video, but my gameplay is so bad, that i am embarassed of every played minute >.<, at least in my Panther

Test client of the hit sounds is up. I cannot guarantee you a top-quality fully-tweaked explosions or penetration sounds. Please give me your feedback ASAP!  :Smile-izmena:

If you want more people to use this mod you definitely need some advertising to it by making a video in WoT... just saying.

I know, but my gaming PC is currently unavailable as I'm at my cabin. :(
However, I can still work on the sounds(but not test them). I'm learning how I can make a different sound being played at longer distances, by using layers.

It would also be nice if someone could make a video showing the mod! :Smile_great:

Anyway if you want I can make a video with just this sound mod.  :Smile_honoring:

Jupp that are the weapons and i got to get the historical sights :)Hitsounds seem to work quite well. Was a little bit irritating, because the one that hits trees etc is more distinct, but its a nice addition. Can't tell about the quality, but appears to be okay ;)

Thanks for the feedback! However, I didn't really get the issue about the trees. Could you give me a detailed description of it so I can adress it?

And the sounds will, of course, improve over time as I'm getting more experienced with FMOD.
Today I've learned some of the basics of multi-track events, and how to use layers to mask the sounds so they change over distance, so you won't have issues with hearing rubble hitting the ground or shell casings ejecting at 500 meters. :)

Hey Gnomefather, this sounds good, keep working on it. Don't give up. +1.

edit: the hit sounds need more punch to them, if you know what I mean. They are a little faint now.
