Just wondering if your taste in music / tanks mirrors my own. :)

EDIT: Only got 5 myself, so I can't even top my own poll but RL tankers deserve much kudos and sadly I can only dream.

Topic was moved to off-topic. Please post things where they belong

I'm more of a modern jazz/ classical man so no. I cannot answer the poll as the terminology seems orientated to those with a penchant for long hair, chips and motorbikes.

But I hope you enjoy your heavily amplified guitars as much I will be enjoying my violas and cornets.

I'm partial to a bit of Classic FM now and then and nothing will move me to tears like a live orchestra with a violin solo but rock is my first love.

Maybe because you have to listen to it, not try and eat it?  :P

When i was young i had it all, the long hair, the leather outfit and music screaming in my ears from Metallica, Guns, AC/DC, Motorhead, Pantera, Judas, Black Sabbath, Satriani, Malmsteen, Samael etc etc etc. Now i'm a grown man, short hair, oilskin duster and Nine Inch Nails.

To quote Trent Reznor talking about Marilyn Manson "he's cool, i kind of was like that but i grown up".

Not a live orchestra or violin solo but perhaps worth a listen: 16 Horsepower - Cinder Alley live@Pinkpop

I'd be in the 0-2 category. Have been to many a rock/hardrock/metal concert & festival and generally is my preferred type of music while playing games but I've never screamed my lungs out at any concert. No long hair over the shoulders, no tattoo, no tank parked in front of the apartment block and I only possess two 20mm shell casings fired by Dutch designed Goalkeeper (CIWS for Navy vessels). And no, I have no intention of having my ashes put in.

Mate, while I have the greatest respect for you, jazz? Now a bit of Barbers Adagio for Strings, that the music to watch your team burn to.

Tattoo, don't scream, but eardrums ruined at concert, does that count, and had the haircut. When I had hair.

Pedantic mode on:

Guns'n'Roses are anything BUT Metal.
Correct song name is "Enter Sandman".
AC/DC is more mainstream rock nowadays.

Pedantic mode off.

I have a larger-than-life music collection, covering mostly rock-related genres (from Glam to Darkwave, going through Power Metal, Hair Metal, Grindcore, Black Metal, White Metal, Symphonic Metal) and related (Progressive and relatives). Among my all-time favorite bands I name In The Woods..., Therion, Haggard, Liva, Magica, Pantera, Megaptera, Einstuerzende Neubauten, Theater of Tragedy (older albums, not that recent electronic crap), Sentenced, Evereve, Flowing Tears, Crematory... and that's just scratching the surface.
My hair was waist-long for years (10+) but now I look like a regular corporate dude. Still, a metal heart beats deep within.

Not a fan of classic music, but big plus for the movie reference.

EDIT: that was ninja edit. I want my plus back.

I was taught Jazz flute by the legendary Ron Burgundy.

But in my sparetime i prefer to listen to Lawnmower Death, Napalm Death and sometimes a little easy listening music from Slayer.

Shifty, do you have any musical tastes that do not reference fatalities?
