This is tank is amazing.
I hadn't played since December, just noticed new US TDs. M8 fun but nothing too exciting.
But T49, wooooo. Got Ace Tanker after less than 10 battles with the 57mm gun and no track upgrade. And now with the 75 it's devastating.
It's like a Chaffee with poorer turret traverse but much funnier matchmaking for killing things rather than just spotting them.

Depends on the MM in think.

As Lowtier i use it as a Scout in the first Minutes of Battle, and when the Battlelines are Settled to flank the Enemies oder to get in their Backs.

When its clear that i can damage every Vehicle on the Field, i try to help my Comrades directly.  

Well, i really find this TD extremely fun to play. It's just like driving the T-50 / T-50-2 but with a TDs gun-capacity and better MM than the scouts.

But...

The god damn vehicle is jinxed! I average close to 2 kills/battle, but it doesn't seem to matter what i do. So far my team has been constantly losing  
Then again, I've only played 10 battles so far so i know things will even out...

Really fun to play. Easily knocked out, but it can surely throw a punch and move even better than punch!

Both of you make a valid point. But (again guesswork here) a vehicle's classification as open or closed top is most likely not turret dependent but simply a fixed yes or no value for each vehicle.

For the record however a setup of camo net, rammer and binos has proven to me extremely useful and I doubt I'd change it even if I could mount vents on it. Even though vents are a pretty standard upgrade and make sense for most tanks. It's still of course a matter of personal preference. You can enjoy the awesomesauceness of the T49 without vents. It still rocks

I have toagree. No matter if i lose or winn I have enormous fun. Flies like a butterfly stings like a bee. An excelant monymaker too.
The gun goes through anything if i aim right. NOTHING can catch up with its mobility and speed. I will always keep this baby.
I play non-premium and make 10'000-12'000 after repairs
