Usually that helps, but if you're at it you might just install the fitting DirectX, so you're up to date. Installing the most recent DirectX 9 usually fixes it, at least it did for me;)

edit: You can try putting it directly into the WOT folder, but usually it bekongs into windows/system32 or so, since it is something belonging to a driver. But as i said, you may just reinstall directx ;)

You might be better off trying to find the answer through google in your native language. It doesn't sound like it is a problem with WoT but an issue with your install of DirectX, which is a Microsoft product. Try un-installing and then re-installing DirectX, there should be a full guide on the microsoft website if you need it.

Nowhere, never download a single file from DirectX, install the whole package if you want your games to run without error, see the link in my prior post in this thread. It leads you to the official DirectX installer from Microsoft which will install everything you need regarding DirectX9.

Thank you necromancer. I've got a new PC. I wanted to play world of tanks (and did) but had no grass or hills, the graphics chip wasn't up to it, so bought a new PC. I followed you're instructions and (more luck than judgement on my part) installed the new files. I have now logged back on and it works. Thanks again, if you were local to Kent UK I'd buy you a pint!
