lol, the track guards are peeling off as well. It's pronely a stripped hull given the plywood and paper-mushy job so as they could see what the final tank would look like.

FV4005 stage 2 with 183mm gun:
http://t0.gstatic.co...lMnMkV55yeCRTss
Good for 2nd turreted TD line without armor
FV215b (conquerror mk2)
http://t0.gstatic.co...ktkKgOvQHEuxxMA
T10 candidate
Too OP for T9 TD since it keeps conqerror armor with 183mm gun

We have Spgs that can easy 1 shot with out landing a shot close and been the other side of the map i fail to see why people would rage more over a TD that needs to hit and would be fairly easy to spot due to the turret size along with fact the turret was paper thin.
But FV4005 is not an SPG. Its supposedly a straight shooting TD.

You mean like me blasting an E-100 with a 155mm HE round from a T-30 the other day and knocking off 48%+ (he only had 48% hull
). Remember the 183mm would actually be a T10 gun, not a T9 gun.
Precisely. TDs only go up to tier 9. There wouldn't be any problem it were a tier 10 vehicle, since TDs can always sport a gun of the next tier, however for tier 9, 183mm is just too OP.

It is not OP it has a paper turret that would allow most T8+ guns to do full damage form HE rounds it would have the worst camo in game and it would never not get hit since is so massive.
It would need LOS so you would both see each other due to his poor camo and should be miss ZERO damage the reason i said about the spgs is they DON`T need LOS and they do not even need to hit to fuck you over big time but the 183mm gun would need to hit or no damage is done.
The odds are it would be a stronger BL-10/155mm only on a tank with worse camo and the worst armor out of the tanks that can carry them guns it would not be OP.

Yes yes yes, all the usual arguments...
A tank which ppl hate to go up against because its able to oneshot (presumably) their high-tier tanks and ppl hate to drive because of such massive drawbacks is NOT a good example of proper balancing.
...and if it cannot oneshot or severely cripple 7/8tier up... then there's no point to it having a 183mm gun now is there!?
Remeber that if WG thought about giving alot of HP to thinly armoured frenchies, then I' afraid they might just very well do that to this one too!

Well if this is how you look at the game i hate to think of the rage you have when you see a T95 or T30 or even an ISU/Obj that can 1 shot T7 tanks on good rolls and if not 1 shot leave it so close to death the wind would blow it up.
Tiger has 1450 the BL-10/155 Avg 750 damage IF the roll is +50% damage that is 1500hp in 1 shot enough to kill ALL T7 tanks and let us not forget the Tiger H/P have the most hitpoints of the T7 tanks the others if i recall are around 1200 that means there far more likey to be 1 hit killed since the shell don`t need to roll the max +50% damage.
IF you then look at them 4 TD's you see one thing all have good camo 3 have good speed 1 is a moving bunker 1 has a untouchable turret and the other 2 are fairly small quick and easy to hide.
The best guess is the 183mm would do around 850 avg with a reload roughly the same as the BL-10/155 but on a massive TD that is hard to hide and paper armor and i would guess would be slower than all but the T95.

As 183mm for T X tank, i dont see a problem in it, with speed of maus & sucky side armor FV215b is not going to be OP

'Jagdchieftain' does indeed have a dummy gun. But then it was really a means to test the armour package (aluminium) and the drive system which I gather was modded for fine laying.
Interesting vehicle, the West Germans were involved in the same program, except their vehicles had leopard 1 hulls equipped with 2 120mm smoothbores.....

There were SP projects on FV300, FV200 (Conqueror) and FV3800 (Centurion) chassis, but info is scarce, they were only ever mockups or even just paper projects.
FV305 was 20pdr
FV205 was classed as Medium SP AT, gun unknown to me
FV217 was classed as SP 120 Medium AT, perhaps a development of the above
FV3807 was 120mm SP AT Gun
A reasonably accurate and full list of FV numbers is here http://arcaneafvs.com/fvlist.html but naturally how much information actually exists on these projects is unknown. More reasonable than anything based on Chieftain components though.
