Hello all,
So I wanted to ask if I should sell my IS-3 and buy the IS-4 after I 've got enough experience.
If yes/no, why?
Thanks!

I'd say no because with next patch (7.3) the IS-3 will be on a different tank tree compared to IS-4 so you want to keep it.
I'd also buy IS-4 because it's gonna become tier 10.
Just keep both tanks and wait until after next patch to decide if you want to sell any of them.

Do you make money with your IS-3? If so, I'd keep it. It may be some time before you make money with an IS-4, unless your good or have premium.

The IS4 is the favourite first T9 heavy tank for beginners. You will have your fun with it.
After 7.3, your IS3 will still be researched so you can still go to IS7 while the IS4 becomes T10.
If you have premium or a tank which makes money you can go and sell your IS3 to buy IS4 if you want.

If you get IS-4 before 7.3 hits, you will actually get IS-8/T-10 for free, which is one tier higher than IS-3 so you can continue to grind for IS-7 on that tank (if that is what you want, ofc). Also, you can retrain the crew from your IS-3, whose secondary skills will come handy in a tier 9 tank. I personally enjoyed IS-3, but decided to sell it purely for that reason and haven't regretted it once. I took a leap of faith, not really knowing how IS-4 will perform in my hands, but it has paid off. IS-4 is an awesome tank which, fully upgraded and played with some skill, turns into a real monster. As much as I enjoyed playing IS-3, nothing really compares to the sheer awesomeness of its big brother, IS-4.

I sold my is-3 a while a go and i do not regret it.
Moved my skilled crew from is-3 to is-4 and bought the top gun of is-3 with the first fights in my is-4.
IS-3 is a fun tank i will buy it again later after i collect some credits.

Alright guys, after I get the BL9 gun on my IS-3 I will buy the turret and then straight ahead for the IS-4.
When I get it unlocked I will sell it to buy the IS-4.
Is there any difference on the playstyle?
Thanks

Of course there is. The IS-3 is more fragile to shots has less HP but is allso more bouncy while the IS-4 takes shots and keeps on going. You should be more carefull with the IS-3 and be more like a medium and flank ppl while IS-4 is just like go in and blow shit up.

Yes, they are very dissimilar tanks.
The IS3 plays like a heavy-medium - it's relatively quick and the armour will only save you if you're pointing right at the enemy.
The IS4 is pretty slow and has decent armour that you need to angle.
Both tanks are good brawlers and poor snipers, but the IS3 requires an indirect approach - a fair bit of flanking and peek-a-boo, whilst the IS4 when it's top dog can just roll straight into the middle of a firefight and start messing things up.

Hey what?
"The IS-3 is more fragile to shots has less HP but is allso more bouncy..."
IS-3's armor is better than IS-4's?

Then how the hell will my IS-4 survive vs T9's and T10's if my IS-3 doesn't vs T8's?

Then I won't take the turret right? Only the BL9 gun?
And how will I survive with my IS-4 if I can't survive with my IS-3 on lower tiers?

There is still a reasonable amount of time before 7.3 hits, so if you don't want to get IS-4 as soon as possible, then there is no need to sell IS-3. I was just saying that grinding through IS-4 would be a bit easier with a crew that has some secondary skills already. IS-3 and IS-4 are very different, speed and armor-wise. IS-4 is much better armored, but it's also slower and packs a better punch once you get S-70. There are plenty of topics regarding IS-4 play style, just browse through this section of the forum.

Answer me please, gentlemen.
The upgrade path I recommend is BL-9 first and foremost, then the turret and suspension. You can unlock the engine last or even skip it if you are in a rush. I unlocked it way back on IS so I had it from the start on IS-3, but I doubt it's a deal breaker on this tank. IS-3 does rely on mobility to some extent, but it's nevertheless a heavy tank and the gun is its main asset.
As for the other question, IS-4 is king of survival. It is small and bouncy, with very good overall armor. All of that makes is very "user friendly" and a good choice for beginners. There is no tank that can reliably damage you unless it has a tier 10 gun. Even tier 9 guns don't guarantee penetration, especially from a distance, although you might have some really bad rng or an exceptionally good player against you, who knows where to shoot. Still, I considered myself pretty much immortal whenever I was the only tier 9 tank left on the battlefield. Anything tier 8 and below felt like an easy snack (when facing me on equal terms). IS-4 also copes well with artillery. It only start being a real threat at tier 6. Not a single tier 9 heavy can make this boast, which is why IS-4 is considered to be OP. People believe the buzz, grind to IS-4, go guns blazing and get their asses handed to them by other tier 9 heavies. IS-4 is by no means invincible when facing its tier 9 equivalents, but it does dominate when facing lower tier tanks in a way no other tier 9 heavy can, due to overall armor protection, slope and magic, damage absorbing tracks. It shrugs off lower tiers with almost laughable ease. Of course, you will still get gang banged by a wolf pack of mediums, but before they ring your bells you will still be able to retaliate. Also, I have more than once survived two mediums in a close combat. When fully upgraded, equipped and with a good crew, it is a stone cold killer, simple as that. Learn its strengths and you will make your presence felt in every battle. Good luck
