I lose and regain my faith several times a day... Dealing with people face to face will make you question humanity any way you look at it.

"So Can I have a Free Phone... on a Free Plan?" - "There's No such thing. You need to pay for the plan and get a free phone"

... "Im going elsewhere, your too expensive."  - Just one of today's gems.

I think your confusing faith in humanity, with that marvellous thing called youth. Which is often synonymous with flapping the mouth before engaging the brain. And life began with them. Anything that actually happened before that, was somethng dnosaurs did.

Instead of a free phone, some people need a brain first.

I lost my faith in humanity when people argue that evolution is just a theory and that they can calculate that the world is a few thousand years old. The worst part is when you try to explain what the word 'theory' means in science they just go all 'high and mighty' *shrug*.

I lost faith in humanity when Obama got elected, Hitler lost the war, Stalin won the war and Bin Laden was killed.

Spoiler
