Damn, I like to play that map with my IS4. Mess these campers up.
Yeah, I knew there were plenty of campers in this game, but I never had thought there would actually enough of them to spam the map discussion forum with complaints on the one map they couldn't play their camping game on.
I love this map. It is hard. It is relentless. There is no downtime. There is no breathing room. 15 min of pure adrenaline.
I can understand how some people do not like this map, but boy, it is totally undeserved that this map would be restricted to lower tiers. It is perhaps the only map that really feels shows how tense & dangerous tank battles are.
Province is the map that rewards skill and punishes the lack of skill the hardest. No of the others come even close.

South coast is more intense than Province and you dont need camp 10 minutes waiting that your team snipers do the job... you have a lot of ways to attack enemy or defende base in ambush zones... for me South coast is all that Province isnt, you can snipe like in it BUT you can maneuver to avoid sniper positions and push.

One point for the noob team. Ofc they are quick to listen to the noob base, there are far more. But when good players complain about Komarin since...it ever was reworked..."crickets". I bet we will see Komarin reworked again in the future.

I see the whiners won again.
It is not a camping map. It is an attacking map. It's only the incredibly stupid player base that runs the wrong way and hides instead of taking to the far side of the valley and attacking.
Province is rubbish with low tiers, they just don't have the view range to defend the attack routes from the far side of the valley.
Oh well, 2 new maps coming for you all to turn into campfests.

I just had enough with these stupid players whining over anything they can't understand.
Now, because of the bad players base I will not get to play on one of the best maps they did. Really thank you
Every time I look on the forum is OP this, OP that, nerf that, that map sucks, that tank sucks... and the sad part is that because the bad and average players are maybe 70-75% of the players, the devs always listen to them.
Good job, you got the french nerfed (did you notice how little french you see these days, while the devs said they want a wider range of tanks in randoms - the french nerf did the opposite), good job with getting Province kicked out of the rotation and they will probably nerf the T110 and M103 too - cause they are so OP.
This game is a perfect lesson in life - when you listen to stupid people bad thing happen...

Province will get a special rememberance for falling asleep during play and still not loosing that game...
Happened to me once, 2 enemies left, on my side one midtier tank left and me in Löwe with damaged engine...
Well, guess what, it ended in Draw...

I think up to tier 5 would have been fine tbh.
You could make province an attacking map, but you first require your team to have the same attitude. Mostly they wont so you have to endure a 15 min snooze fest (in the event you didn't die bravely/in vain in the first 2 mins).

There you go. If you put some effort into it, it is not difficult to make battles on this map interesting. Ofc your teammates have to help a bit. I tend to lead by example.
And I know the whiners on this map very well. They are the same tankers who make this map so profitable for the good tankers. I have great fun picking off opposing tanks who think they are 'teh smartzz' for hiding/camping (or "sniping" as they probably call it amongst themselves...), usually in their flank/side of their turret. Often you can see the turret completely immobile for 2 or 3 hits before they realise they are not the leet-stealth tankers they imagine themselves to be (apologies if you actually are but still do this for some totally unrelated reason).
This map is not hard, it just punishes campers and promotes smart scouting (another concept a lot of players fail to grasp).
Even arty is not such a problem on this map. With binocs, even arty has very few safe spots. So a little cooperation with your own arty-friends and some blindfiring should remove opposing arty quickly (unless they actually are good players, ofc).
When playing this map, I see tanks driving around where they have no business. The gap on the non-city side is like shooting fish in a barrel, heavies have no business there. Don't complain if you get killed there. And at other times, I see gaps/opportunities unexploited by teammates who rather stay where they are and do nothing than contribute to the team effort. I mean, that is just camping at its finest and this map painfully lays bare what is wrong with certain players' attitude in this game. Don't shoot the messenger (the map).
However, I can imagine that exclusive heavy players will find this map a bit annoying (even if they actually are leet-tankers) because of the climbing of the steep hill under heavy enemy fire (both things usually are completely absent in all other maps, btw..). I wouldn't want to be in a lone Lowe on this map, those things drive like a wet sponge.. Still, as a med/TD/arty player I can mention several maps I'm not too fond of playing when driving one of those tanks. So that goes both ways. Ultimately, you have to find a way to make this map work, even if it is not ideal. And if you actually end up as the lone Lowe on this map, I guess the reason why your game didn't go that well for you is not the map, but your team. As a Lowe you should still find plenty of opportunities on Province. Not all maps should be nice flowing grasslands for you to stay hull down and blast away.

Imho this map is not good as it lacks alternatives to the first minute rush tactic. It is very easy to get both team locked down in "trench" warfare with sniping and low amount of movement. Playing large tanks, slow or tanks with bad accuracy just isn't fun on this map.
Imo it should be restricted to tier 4. This as this would disqualify Pz4, Stug3 and KV's from this map. Imo it should work with Hetzers, M3 Lee, T-28 and so on.

I find this overly stupid. I think that map is very fun and i liked it a lot on test in previous patch too. It is a hard map to play and a harder still to survive on. There are far worse maps in my opinion, specially the one with the island in the middle.

Gotta agree with you there. Finally a map that encourages fast moving and opportunistic tactics and then ofc it gets removed because campers don't survive on it
Haven't played it with anything lower than a t6 though and i can see how it probably sucks if you are a maus. But come on! people QQed more about malinovka for the last two years than this one and it gets changed after a month? (expecting downvote shitstorm but screw it)

That map is totally fucked up - I mean I get "scout" or 5-8 enemy "tanks detected" there in my E-75 on a regular basis without moving down in middle ...
Increase the map size by factor 3 and it may work but as it is now ... "unplayable" with higher tiers.
But there is an other map coming that will frustrate players - go testserver grab a Maus, E-100 or something alike and visit that new asian map Dragon Ridge in a training room ...

This map is even more problematic for tiers 1-2 than for higher tiers, low tier guns have poor accuracy, which combined with the fact that most players at that tier have 50-60% crews makes for some really awkward battles. The autocannons (except german L112) become useless, due to low calibre the penetration gets reduced to nothing at distance.
A better idea in my opinion would be keep it for all tiers, but extend it by adding another portion, a portion that would add new tactical possibilities.
