Hi guys,

I'm playing WoT for about a month now and since I've played the BT-2 and the BT-7 in the beginning I'm stuck at the T-34-85. So I started playing the French Medium Tree and reached the AMX 12t. With this tank my love for scouts came back and now I want you to tell me which tanks are the best scouts overall in the game. Any nation, any tier...I think that I want so get some of these in the near future.

Already on my list is the AMX 13 90 but it is a long way to this tank from today. So now it's up to you.

T-50, T-50-2, and both AMX13. But I would say the russians have the edge.

T-50-2. Best speed. Best turning. Loses almost no speed when doing it. IMHO the best scout (dedicated scout) in the game :)

I argue T-50 or T-50-2

Although to the poster above me. The T-50 has superior turning speed than T-50-2.

Actually T-50-2 has only better max speed and view range. As for T-50 it has better acceleration, traverse speed, a little smaller frame. So I can't say that T-50-2 is much better compared to T-50.

yeah, luchs is goddamn badd ass as well
I'd say t3 it's luchs or m3 stuart, bt-7 turns like a brick and french don't have real lights until t5
t4 it's t-50, hands down. although I had some epic games with leopard as well
pnz38nA I've never played, a-20 performs poorly compared to t-50 and again, the french lights is not even worth mentioning... m5 is too slow to compete with t-50
t5 it's t-50-2
chaffee is a nice little brawler but too slow to do the scouting and vk28 suffers from the same downsides as a-20 does: poor agility and low acceleration. once it's at 72kph it's a battering ram from hell for arties and other scouts
amx12t is too slow and unagile to compete
in high tier matches it's either worth having a t-50-2 or even better an amx13/90, because that thing can take more hits that t-50-2 and can do much more damage

I play the Pz38nA (I picked it because it's underrated). Its mobility is not ideal (around the same horsepower-per-ton as the M5), but its other notable characteristics compared to the T-50 are a higher view range, and the ability to mount its 47mm gun which is the most precise of any available to the tier 4-5 light tanks save for the T-50-2's top gun (which has better accuracy but worse aim time). If I wanted to play the "best" dedicated scout, I'd go for the T-50 or the T-50-2, though.

I think T49 http://forum.worldof...Smile_great.gif ( speed limit -->61km/h & its guns are good [56/75/76mm] ..but traverse speed is lowhttp://cdn-frm-eu.wargaming.net/wot/eu/4.1/style_emoticons/default/Smile_harp.gif)

Best scouting tanks:
  • T-50-2 as pure scout.
  • Chaffee as scout/fire support hybrid.
  • AMX 13 90 as fire support with scouting option. But beware, above tanks are better in scout role due to better handling.
Other tanks are just training tanks for beggining scout. Only T-50 is decent in terms of performance. Also as some of you noticed, fast US TDs can sometimes do scouting, but they are too limited in terms of mobility, despite high top speed.
