I know this has been done before, but really ... it seems really that you cant get far in this game with out premium or premium tank.
I know this is free to play game but it really seems I'm forced to buy gold/premium and/or premium tank to get anything past tier 7 ...

As non-premium, you are forced to play with tier 5 tanks just to get a little credits because everything that is tier 6+ seems to be only for exp grind. I never come out with profit in tier6+ tanks. I'm below average player so I dont make much.

My repairs used to be 6k+ on my tier 6 tank, now they are 7k+ and I make average 12-15k per battle IF I win.
And now the part I just dont understand, my shells are 252 credits each, I shoot average 10 shells per battle, that shud be 2k-2,5k , but for some reason every time it charges me 5k+ for my ammo after each match... I never profit on this tank and all I can do is grind exp.

I think WG shud take a look at this once more and think about people who are playing with standard account.
Probably useless topic for most and I see lots of flaming coming ...

I agree with you...playing with my KV to get on IS-3 isnt fun anymore...they should make higher tiers more profitable.

Well canteen is closed..sorry but as with every other free to play/play to win/micro payment game out there you will hit a wall.

Wether this wall is content, level or ease of play it will be in there, the idea of the wall is to "encourage" you to stump up some cash to progress further.

No one is entitled to a free game, it costs money, lots of money to keep the game running, some one has to pay, but just not you eh? let some one else pay for my fun?

To be honest as far as free games go, this is one of the best, get your bum to tier 6 or 7 play for fun, pick up some weenie tier 3's max them out for fun, to be honest this game is as good at lower tiers if not better than high tiers.

If you want to play on a "peasant" account then be prepared to be treated like one, the grinds are longer and profits smaller

So it is possible to reach top tier tanks with standard account, it need some more effort.

One last thing; no offense but nobody force you to reach or play with higher tier tanks, it's your decision. There are plenty of fun tanks in lower tiers, find what suits you best. And later, when you play better you can try again higher tiers.

But nevertheless, all free2play games have one common goal, and that is to make money. Ideally (for the company that run the game) that is making *lots* of money. And i think WoT allows one to really play it for free without too much trouble.

Only thing i really criticize on WoTs business model is gold ammo, especially in randoms. I firmly believe the golden rule about free2play games is to never sell real power, but instead smoothen progress for paying customers and/or sell vanity items. Gold ammo is directly contradicting said rule.

/edit: Regarding your bolded part, i really dont know anything about such an issue... It never occured to me within my near 7k battles, and those are played with and without premium...

All I'm asking from them is just to increase the income of tier6+ tanks ... I play for fun aswell and I really like my VK3601, I recently bought KV-3 aswell, but I feel its a little bit unfair not to be able to make credits in them, I almost have my tiger researched but I just cant make enought money to buy it, therefore im forced to play on lower tiers.. I got nothing against them but I've had my time in those and I want to move on and battle in the tanks I want to play, I personally find it kinda stupid.

After I got my IS3/4; T29 I stoped grinding and just enjoy the tanks now but only because I am patient ^^

You could just buy churchill now that it gets better matchmaking to make some dough. It`s really cheap, especially if you happen to find it on discount.

I dont say tier 7 should never loose money, just seems to be fair that if tier 5 gets 20k, tier 6 will got 22k and tier 7 25k for example...

i feel your pain,i played without premium stuff for a long time, but if you want to play the game for a long time and enjoy higher tier tanks,premium and premium tanks are worth it because without premium you have to spend a lot of time in moneymaking tanks such as kv,vk3601 etc. to the point you start to hate the game...so think about premium as investing not spending

can you imagine grinding 6M in kv? i d rather spend(or invest)10 euros on premium than playing kv for 400 games,even if you are a kid you can "work" 2 hours for 10 euros...400 games thats a lot more time invested in no fun painfull,repetetive process

Bigger problem is the cost of ammo and repairs on tier 6+ tanks. Even if you did make 20k credits and barley got out alive, which to me happens rarely cus on my VK3601 MM throws me in games with Tier 9 and every time I'm like "oh boy here goes another 7k on reparis".All the credits will go on repairs/ammo, but on tier 5, income is great and the repair/ammo costs are 5x smaller. That is a really big jump for only 1 tier difference.

If you are not that good a player, and find it hard to make a profit above tier 6. Then to be honest you don`t want a higher tier tank. I have tier 10 and even with premium if my gun decides for this game it is bent, even with a win it can cost 15k credits, a poor performance and a loss can cost 50k +. I suggest you stay at lower tiers until you understand the role of each type of vehicle.

When you are ready to go higher get yourself a tier 4 arty, especially the American M7 Priest. Shells and repairs cost less than 3k for both, yet you can make 20k.

If you want a higher profit margin become very good with a couple of tier 2/3 tanks.

I recommend the PZII, and the SU-26.

If your a 'good' player you should still be able to break even and make a very small profit in tiers 7/8 w/o premium. BUT you'll need to grind lower tiers to buy the next tank.
