i usually shoot at top tier campers - like if kv5 guy sits next to arty i dont hesitate to shoot him in the radio, but i would never shoot low tier guy even if he can contribute very little

edit:lol at all those negatives,i guess many afk and bot guys are browsing forum while being afk amirite?

It is foolish to tk KV camper because at least he will slow enemy down a little bit. Even AFKing KV acts as decoy if nothing else.

Shooting campers in the ass?

I've had that happen to me, only problem was the 'friendly encouragement' was a KV, which did a little more than encourage my PzII!

As it happened, I was taking the time to roll myself a ciggy, and see who was going which way, rather than charge blindly on a suicide mission!

If people what to camp, WTF not? They wont be getting the action, they'll be missing out on the point of the game, if it really goes wrong you could be grateful they're there and THEY MAY JUST BE DISTRACTED. Not everyone can totally devote themselves to the game all the time.

As for TK? Kill them.
I had one guy damage 6 friendly vehicles in a low tier battle, I watched him do it right from the off from about 25m behind him. Nothing like a point blank shot to the rear to sort that stuff out. The fine? Yeah fair enough, I solved a problem.

Shooting teammates is never good solution, even if they are AFK/BOT or whatever... first because of penalty, second you have report buton for that kind of players... and third, someone will probably report you for team damage...

1, penalty is so low i couldnt care less
2, report button - i use it
3, considering how many times i did shot some afk guy either report button doesnt work or ppl dont give a shit because usually they are also pissed off, afk guy screw them too...they might not shoot at him,but they at least type few swearwords in chat

look i am not defending tk...in my 2800+ games i have intentionally killed 1 guy (he kept crossing my way, dont know why but enough is enough),but if someone is afk its not like my shot at him makes a difference,he doesnt contribute to the team,it hurts only me,not him (he is afk and doesnt care) nor anyone else on the team

i had one game, our top tier IS typed at the start of the game "go win,im afk" - this kind of person deserves a lot worse than my shot in the engine

If this game had a Soviet commissary like the Red Army had in WW2, shooting everyone who is a coward, you'll never see 100k players online again in your life.

TK seems like a good idea when you're raging but ... you have to pay the repair fee of the friendly you shot and also risk a ban... I got TK a lot of times, damaged too... once a day i get a hit in the back of my turret and ... I ignore it... WG made the system this way... if you team kill you lose twice,if you get TK-ed you lose just once... THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN WIN WITH IDIOTS IN YOUR TEAM :-(

I had a fun match with my leopard. It all began with t14 trying to kill me at the begining of the match and my teamate kv saved me but he was teamkilled for it and the guy that killed him was also teamkilled and in the end there were 7 teamkills in total and 4 of them were made by the same person just killing other teamkillers...

Screenshot or it didn't happen !

I've seen some clown killing 5 of his teammates before somebody else finally finished him off:

Spoiler

Fortunately it was on the enemy team :Smile_harp:

I had a similar experience the other week – I was in a Pershing in ambush mode on the upper right-hand side ridge (Westfield map) waiting for the opposition to come under the bridge.

An AMX50 100 suddenly appeared in the valley at full pace heading for the small village – I managed one side hit and damage to his side before he disappeared from my gun-sight in the village.

I noticed a team T32 was in the village and I also noticed there was about another 3 opposition mediums dancing around the base of the bridge – so stayed-put waiting for the other medium to appear.

Then suddenly I had damage to my rear – it was the my teams T32, then another hit, and another.  I decided to move (I didn’t message or fire back). Settled in my new position then again another hit then destroyed.

After that as another teammate messaged a complaint to him – the TK said he didn’t support me he was camping in the trees – I always kill people who don’t support me.

As it was it would have been total suicide to follow the AMX50 100 into the village it would have revealed my position and presented my sides/rear to the mediums. :o

Didn’t the TK see the mediums (possibly not I was further up the map than he was) at the bridge, or was he totally selfish and was only thinking of himself – and again I didn’t message or complain – although teammates did.

Moral: Not everything is at it first appears :)

Another TK, on Live Oaks – myself and a teammate (both Hummel’s) in the south side ditch - when suddenly a team KV destroyed us both – obviously an Arty hater

Team kill is bad only if you are being killed by ally. That means that you suck or doing something extreme irritating or factors in God's control (Got killed by drunk guy having fun we laughter and chatted when our team killed him).

I platoon with some of my friends that aren't aware what's happening around them, they are not aware how irritating they can be to others but they think they are doing well. Sometimes i wonder why Maus etc. don't kill them cuz they deserved.

Btw i do team kill here and there when someones stupidity is ruining game for me &/or other.

PS: Death to all kamikaze!

If he does it every time, then yes, but try to understand that real life is sometimes much much more serious than a game.

TO KEEP THREAD "ON TRACKS": we should discuss here ppl who come back to "punish arty", not general TK.

Seems to me it is a new outrageous trend to go back and "teach 'em". Haven't seen that myself, but saw and heared quite some reports lately.

It is hard to measure arty performance, though I find that with OTM I can see quite well when friendly shell just fried half HP of my opponent. Of course arty may be focusing to other side of map or trying to counter enemy arty. Also it matters a lot how arty player handles unintentional team-damage. I find that I'm willing to pardon quite a lot, when offender says "sorry". Though you should never underestimate raw power of human stupidity. To ilustrate, example from my "colection of terminal stupidity":

Himmelsdorf, city. I'm in KV+152 DERP. Holding corner against Tiger, IS and IS3. All 3 seem to be too afraid to get 1st shot and are hudling together. I see that our S-51 is in a possition to take a nice shot or two. I ping and ask for support. In about 1.5min there is no activity from our arty. Then IS-3 finaly gets nerve enough to get out, soak my shot and with eager help from 2 others kills me. I switch camera on to S-51 and presto! He is looking right way. I start to rage "arty WTF are you doing all this time???". Guess what was the answer? Unbelievable: "They were too far you n00b! I'm not going to waste 1500 creds on unsure shot!". BTW he chose to die without firing a shot at aproaching enemy tanks. Apparently they were moving too fast - no clear shot...

I' am quite sure that natural selection is still refining human being.

The team kill system is rubbish and the punishment for blue players not severe enough
I totally agree. The penalties are almost 0...

View Postpopuptoaster, on 25 April 2012 - 12:31 PM, said:

anyone who goes blue should have the tank they committed the offense in deleted from their garage along with its crew and equipment so they have to re buy it all.
haha...harsh :) A 1 hour ban per tank killed should suffice to make people think twice, well, maybe 2?
Jokes aside WG should do something about this!

There a few things that I think seriously reduces the fun of the game and makes me look for alternatives...

1: Griefplayers
These people thrive in online games/forums as humans will do almost  anything if they get away with it, and some even if they don't...more  BANHAMMER please!
Get some moderators/monitoring in random games and start banning/warning players in realtime the way you do in garagechannels. Every time I see a moderator say "English only...bla bla" I think w t f...who cares about the chatchannels when your house is on fire :)

2: MM
The MM is tweaked to make money for WG by increasing the number of unenjoyable random games, this leads to people spending money to lessen the pain and as a side effect it also helps to bring out the worst in people. Frustration leads to abuse/grief...

3: The game is to expensive
I'm a casual player with restricted amount of time to play that like high tier vehicles = $.
WG is the "best example" of abuseing the freemium business model I've seen. The combination of pure greed and shortsightedness is appaling.

I like really like the game, but 1,2 & 3 (and some other things as well) is really getting to me and if I found a more "well managed" game similar to this I'd switch pronto.

No, you are not "rite", you are just putting a perfect asshole-behavior on display. And guess what "reputation" shows?

(If your answer is "my reputation?", then you accidentally got it right for once)

That truely would be a 'hardcore mode', with a 9 mill at the back of your head  ;) .

TKers....running across the map to get their own 'useless' arty. Hmmm. He sound like a bit of a spare male organ at a prostitutes wedding. He would be worth a shell or 4.
