This month is dedicated to the most mass-produced tanks of the World War II and one of the most mass produced tanks in history. We would like you to get to know the T-34 and the T-34-85 USSR medium tanks better!

Yes and just learn to enjoy being cannon fodder for T8 Heavies!
Honestly with MM so biased against mediums isnt it about time WOT
developed a medium tank only format.People might actually use them
then rather than dump them asap

The T-34 and T-34/85 are Tier V and Tier VI. I am not amazed they are easier targets for Tier VIII tanks. The same way An IS tank feels helpless against an IS-7. A leichttraktor facing a Panzer III would also give up. The fact that there is a Tier difference means that the lower Tier will have a harder time beating a tougher, higher tier tank. If that was not the case the Tier system would not make sense.

I still have my Panzer III, and even though I know I cannot beat a Tier VII with it I use its advantages to achieve certain goals, not the impossible ones. Once I reach the T-34 I presume I will have to adjust myself accordingly as well.

Very good article, really enjoyed soaking up all that background/historical info.

Cheers!

This text can be added into their gameplay section and still will be more usable.

I really like the idea of these 'tank of the month' pieces. I would, however, like to see :-

:- more historical detail and less 'not good stock, better fully equipped' type stuff.

:- a better translation. It hurts to see my mother tongue abused like that. Wrong tenses, bad noun translation etc makes it awkward to read. (I find it helps if read in a Russian accent though :) )

T-34 is my favorite tank i have over 1500 battles with this tank fully upgraded, crew with 3 skills, rammer, vent, optics.
It is funny when u see amx 12 and he try to shot at u but u have faster aiming and rof faster then aiming without six pack reload time(theres no use from just a lil bit faster reload if ur aiming cant support that)
57 zis gun is awesome i even killed some t9 tanks with this gun(t34's mostly before 7.2 update)and yes it is best scout hunting machine i tried same gun on t-50-2 and it is not the same, works better on t-34

Personally, I despise both of these tanks. They aren't fast, they don't have good armor, their guns aren't all that powerful when matched against higher tiers, though good against similar tiers with its fast rof. What do they actually have going for them? Yes, you can try flanking someone, and if you are very lucky, you might manage it without getting tracked, and when you do, you fire 2 shots, they turn to face you, you are now completely useless. That is if you manage to find a player on his own. Now imagine it in a normal battle, where tanks are in groups, and wherever there is a tank, there are 2 covering it from bushes in the distance. You are dead.

I am not the biggest med fan in general, but I would say that all tier 5/6 german and american mediums beat these 2. Just my opinion ofc.

i love this and REALLY want it to be done for every tank (over time obviously),

a truly great addition to the web site of this great game,
although 1 person complained about how you mentioned "the stock version of the in-game tank......." i did not see that as even worth mentioning because you are trying to teach us about the tank in real life and the game which is a double benefit for those interested!!!

please keep up the great work, the VAST majority of us are deeply grateful for this game and your efforts in bringing it to us fans!!!

Sgt.Steiner.

Hi "Rollup", point taken, from next month I will be having input into the historical detail for "Tank of the month".

Take care

A very carefully written article, when I read theheadline; "the workhorse of the victory", I expected something else but I was pleasantly suprised. :)

Something to read about the t-34: http://operationbarb...thBusters2.html
