Hi, i have a question:
How do you think WOT is close to real tank battles? You have this huge experience with real tanks and it is realy interesting to know, from your point of view ,how realistic driving, shooting etc is in the game?
Thank you

Do you think WoT suspension is as it really is? That the slightest bump in the terrain makes your sniper view jump over a mountain, entirely missing the KV-5 dead-ahead.

I have a question concerning most, if not all, german tanks. I understand that it is possible for the motor to be damaged, if the tank is penetrated in the lower front of the vehicle, because the transmission is located there. This is the case only in german tanks making them by far more vulnerable in comparison to the other nations. This being a pain already, the inflicted motor damage can also cause a fire, which is firstly not possible, when the transmission only is hit and secondly makes driving a german tank even worse. I have often read about balance being more important than historical accuracy and i would very much appreciate a fix to this problem, because at the moment it's simply not fair to drive intelligent enough not to show side or rear, but still go up in flames sometimes, when penetrated.

One of the reasons I love WOT is the amount of effort that goes into the design/spec/functionality of each Tank from a historical slant. There are similarities in Basic Tactics- Fire positions (Hull up/Turret Down etc), use of the terrain, and perhaps the most critical of all "Team Work". But most of all its fun to play, I wish the same could have been said about the amount of hours spent on Tank Simulators during Training.
There are some awesome players out there who on a regular basis kick my butt. Learning all the time.
Take Care

Hello The_Challenger,
I was just wondering if you could tell us a bit about the main battle tanks of the modern age, compared to the ones we see in the game? Only in a general sense of course.
What are main differences, similarities or peculiar notes. Please remember I am asking from a.. let's say "civilians" perspective though.. I don't really know much about tanks except for what one can learn from the WoT game.
I didn't really give one whit (?) about tanks until I started playing this game, that's when I started getting interested in the WWII-era tanks.. Then I saw this wonderful clip from Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson gets chased around by a Challenger 2 tank (http://www.youtube.c...h?v=-wKfpPrRVIo). Hilarious! That's when I got interested in the modern MBTs as well, such as the Challenger 2, Leopard 2, M1A2 Abrams etc.
I've tried to find interesting (documentary-style) clips about these on youtube, but the few I find just seem to be focused on promoting one tank, and if you try to read any of the "discussions" going on there.. Well..
So this goes for everyone else out there as well, if you know of a good source of tank info, youtube or otherwise, and it's not too boring & technical, please post it here!
I realize this became a bit long and unfocused, so to sum up: Please tell us a bit about modern MBTs compared to WWII-era tanks (& tank tactics) and also if you will, a bit about modern MBTs in general.
Thanks & have a great day!

Well, Salamander would be something like Tier V light in game terms, but with very devastating gun if mounting 76mm
Module damage all over the place
With 30mm RARDEN it would be hard, but then with APDS it would have great penetration (for WoT autocannons
)

Hi,
I personally think its pretty accurate, this era of tanks lacked hydro-gas suspension or the Gun stabilization systems that we now see on Tanks such as Challenger 2 and the M1A2. Many years ago I had an amazing chat with a man who had been a Cromwell Gunner and as he said "Skill, practice and luck " were all a good gunner required.
