How much XP and battles a Crew needs to gain their skills

Although I knew the nice looking graphics from the wiki telling me the XP needed rise on an exponential function. I preferred to know exactly how much XP (or the better: how many battles) there were still left for my crew to max out a single skill.

Based on the formula in the wiki, I designed a spreadsheet that I use for my lookups. First version was in German, but I figured it might be of use to nongerman speaking players as well, so here is the international version:

Basically the table tells you how much XP you need in a skill to increase any given skill percentage for 1%.

In every column it lists the total XP needed for bringing a skill from 0% to 100%.

If you for example have a crew with 1st special skill at 90% and want to know how much xp is left. Simply mark all cells in that respective skill showing the numbers from 90%-91% up to 99%-100%.. in this example this would mean marking cells C94 to C103. Google Docs will then show you the summarized amount of XP in the right bottom corner of your spreadsheet window. In this example it tells you that you need 78305 XP to go from 90% to 100% in the first special skill.

The spreadsheet also does a rough estimation of number of battlees needed, given the XP/Battle that I have entered (default 900). The web-spreadsheet is read only so you cant change the value directly. But If you want to use your own values, download the document to your local computer and edit to your hearts content.

....and a bit depressing to see just how much pain i'll have to go through to get some crews up to 100% on first skill...without spending any gold...darn wgn doesnt make it easy for us..*sigh*

for each 200 gold you save 40 k experience on 1 tank member.
So in case of a tank like E100 you pay 1200 gold to push your crew by 40k experience.
Similar conversion ratio like making free exp....

lol, almost 60k battles to complete the entire crew xd

but my feeling it takes age before the second skill is finished is correct, coz i need 20k for 1 % progress -,- (for the 97>98 and 98>99 etc)

I hate adding to the pain but its 60k battles under the assumption that you average 900 XP per battle in total. If its less, then the number grows painfully bigger :mellow:

Also, you have to keep in mind any mentor/accelerated training bonuses you might get.

If you calculated your average XP earning including those numbers, you can change the XP/Battle accordingly - thats what I did for my favorite tanks.

For Example on a tank with 2 Crewmembers, the commander being 100% Mentor and accelerated training activated, each member gets roughyl 157% of earned nominal XP. (50% due to ACT, and~7% due to mentor)

With a 6 member tankcrew, the number is roughly in the range of 126%

In addition you could also use your historical data:

For example look at your tank crew.. in the personell file it tells you the exact amount of battles they have. Lets assume they have 500 battles.
Further assume you have your crew at 100% main skill. and the first secondary skill has just reached 100% as well.

In that case, look in the table, and sum up the total xp needed for maxing main skill and 1st special skill which is: 95,484 + 210,064 = 305,548

305548 / 500 = 611... so you knew that on average your crew earned 611 XP per battle to get to where they now are.

If your crew is in the middle of learning a new skill, just mark all the cells that have already be learned and lookup the sum that GoogleDocs gives you in the lower righthand corner and add it to your total XP.

So your crew has finished 1st. special skill  and is at 50% with the 2nd special skill? Mark cells   D4 - D53 and GoogleDocs will tell you the sum is: 38193

Add those 38193 to the 305548 that the crew already had from maxing main skill and 1st special skill and you get the total of 343741. Which for 500 battles would mean an averange XP of 687 per battle.

I updated the table today.

Since you cannot edit the default 900 XP/battle I was using initially, I put a couple of rows at the end of the table doing calculations for several average values of XP/battle.

Values range from 200 to 1400 XP/battle average. The corresponding box then tells you how much battles you would need to max out a certain skill or total battles to get there.

The good news is: to max out 8 Skills when you average 1400XP per battle, you only need 38,262 battles :)
The bad news is: if you average 200 XP/battle, maxing 8 skills would take you 267,831 battles. (assuming 5 minutes per battle, its only 2,55 years of nonstop playing :) )

So how does it work when its Double crew training weekend?

If i have my tank on Accelerated crewtraining, the lowest gets 2x the normal. Does he get x4 then on these special weekends?

Or is it smarter to NOT have acc training on during crewtraining specials?

Yes the lowest gets 4x XP.... Its smart to have crew acceleration enabled..

the funniest fights are the ones when you get daily double/triple etc.. and there is a 2x or 3x crew XP special on.. this would mean:

For example:
You have an excellent battle for about 1500 xp -> 3x XP for the first victory -> 4500 Xp for the tank.

On 2x Crew XP specials every Crewmember learns 9000 XP worth of skill and the weakest crewmember gets a whopping 18000 XP... :Smile_ohmy:  With the first skills thats several percent increase with only one battle... oh the joy :)

I close my case.

If you have plenty of time at your hands to play 13k+ battles. you can at least start learning your 7th skill :) So as far as I can tell there is no limit.
