7.3 update SPG vertical invert [FIXED!]

Hi
Since day one of playing this game my controls have been the same. I use vertical inversion in ALL games I play (I am of a moderate vintage and cut my teeth on joypads and joysticks where you ALWAYS move the control back for upwards motion).
It is to give players such as myself the ability to set up their control system to suit that we are given the option to invert either the vertical or horizontal planes (or both).
Now with 7.3 update I find my x-y axis inversion to be normal in third person 'tank' view but upon switching to birds eye view my controls are automatically inverted.
This leaves me with the choice of playing with 'backwards' controls in close quarter combat and manoeuvring OR playing with backwards controls in birds eye mode unless I go to settings mid game and tick or untick the invert option every time I want to change mode.
Why has this baffling change been implemented? What purpose does it serve? Is it going to be addressed? When?
May I suggest you make all combinations of vertical and horizontal inversion completely user definable?
I have purposely kept this post free from flaming, trolling (or whatever it may be called today) and abusive, angry rhetoric (which has been reasonably difficult) in the hope of a sensible response from a member of the WG team.
Regards, DB

The best way to try and solve it is to send a ticket to customer support, this was a known issue in the Test server and they STILL DIDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT....Why do they even have test builds if not to iron out bugs like this.....

You're better off creating a support ticket

This issue was raised during test, so WG should know by now...
More tickets could make them do something about it...

Reply to the support ticket I raised, it works. Thankyou WG.
"We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix for it. As a temporary solution you can modify the preferences.xml file.
- Open Notepad. You can find it by clicking START --> Programs --> Accessories.
- Go to File and select Open, or use the keyboard shortcut [CTRL + O]
- In the file name line, type (or just copy and paste):
%appdata%\wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks\preferences.xml
And press Enter or click Open.
- After opening the document, use the search option (menu Edit and select Find, or use the keyboard shortcut [CTRL + F] ) for finding the desired aiming mode:
the block <arcadeMode> </ arcadeMode> is responsible for setting the arcade mode
the block <sniperMode> </ sniperMode> is responsible for setting up sniper mode
the block <strategicMode> </ strategicMode> is responsible for setting the artillery mode
- In the corresponding block, locate the following items and change the value to the required ( false - to disable the inversion, true - to enable inversion)
<horzInvert> false </ horzInvert> is responsible for the inversion of the horizontal axis
<vertInvert> false </ vertInvert> is responsible for the vertical inversion
- Save your changes (click the menu File and select Save or use the keyboard shortcut [CTRL + S] ) and close the document
This should fix the issue at least temporarily."

Thanks for this, I always play vertical inversion on first person, but its crazy on the artillery map to have it. When I move my mouse down on the map I expect it to move down! Will try this temporary fix.
