When on top it's a freaking IS-4 of tier 5. Great allround armor gives the immunity vs lower tiers. Side armor is good enough to let you do a sidescrapper and makes you invincible while doing that. Turret is bouncy, you can hulldown effectively. The gun is fast and decently accurate.

One of the first battles with KV-1 after split up in 0.7.3, enemy T34-85 destroyed written on chat: "RoF WTF?"

I've had 85 with GLD and trained crew. Precious ;)

KV-1 is one of my "never sell tank".

Good to see I'm not the only one preferring 85mm to 122mm ;)

KV-1 works fine for me. It's a good armoured tank, with fine firepower, only poor mobility. Can hold a lot. Using 85 too.

I must say at first I was sure that KV without 107 will suck. But with 85mm it is awesome and very dangerous! Especially with MM lowered. I just made my exp record with it (and i have is-4 and other high level tanks any my all time high came from a tier 5 game with 3 kills... Weird, I guess killing Tiger 2 from 100% (shooting its top) was a factor.
