"The hippo, found today throughout sub-Saharan Africa, is considered by many experts, explorers and Africans to be the most dangerous animal in Africa (not counting the mosquito)."

Hippoes are some of the most dangerous animals in the world. They're HEAVY, fast and aggressive. They have large canine teeth.

The giraffe is the tallest land animal with good eyesight (as well as hearing, sense of smell), which allows it to detect threats from afar. That's the giraffe's best defense against a crazed hippo. The Giraffe should usually be able to outrun the hippo, if the attacker is spotted on time. The problem is that giraffe herds often have young individuals that are not able to move as fast. In such situations, the giraffe's powerful kick proves the best defense.

That said, I've never herd of a documented case of hippo-giraffe conflict.

Alternatively, one could decide to believe the information provided by the uncyclopedia:

"African giraffes are extremely aggressive and are known to go on mass killing sprees through small African villages. Because the Africans' only defence is nuclear warfare, the giraffes have run rampant through society, killing trillions in the process.

Every year there are over 7,890 giraffe-related deaths, seven of them in Crete alone. The African giraffes in Africa are observed to be the most violent. Scientists theorize this is AIDS- or heat-related."

Hippo, hands down. Better armor than the Giraffe, vicious jaws, amphibious, limited sprinting ability. The Giraffe ain't got squat on the Hippo. It would be like trying to kill a Maus with a T-50.

Something to keep in mind is that giraffe camo was removed in 7.2.
