Hi All

The Offline Community meeting in London is closer than you think.  Supercharge and the Challenger would like you to come and join them as they visit the Imperial War Museum and then descend upon a local pub for drinks and chat!
The gathering will take place on Saturday, May 26thand everyone is welcome to join us!

If you want to attend, just come to the Imperial War Museum at 2pm, and we'll all have a wander around together. Our team will be inside the museum waiting for you in the Conference Room which is located at the back of the building – just ask at the main desk if you are unsure where to go!

Afterwards, ataround 5:30pm we will be heading to a local pub to relax and chat for the rest of the evening.

Please note that this will be an informal community meeting – it is a chance to meet and chat with our staff and ask a few questions in friendly and informal surroundings. Please also be aware, you need to be over the age of 18 to attend this event due to the presence of alcohol.

We hope to see you there!

Hmmm tempting.

If I can get leave from the long haired CO I'll think about it.

I'm planning on being in London, but busy during the day. Might make it to the pub though if details be given.

A meeting in a more central location would suit more tankers, maybe Manchester or Birmingham.
Getting to meet up with other WoT'ers would be excellent :)
Have a great time to all who attend this meet :)

If people are going to this from outside London don't bother to get a travel card from Waterloo to Elephant and Castle or Lambeth North...

It is a <15 min walk from Waterloo to the Imperial War Museum and will be faster to walk (and cheaper) than going underground...

Btw Supercharge do you have any further details of Wargaming's presence at Tankfest 2012? I know you said in this thread http://forum.worldof...-tankfest-2012/ that wargaming will be there - all days? Will there be a stand like last year etc?

Great to see wargaming having a UK presence :Smile_great: !

I sincerely hope you will be so kind and explain to all those great WG followers that will attend the meeting, why did our beloved company you represent, lied to us that we will be able to buy great tanks packages in gift store till end of may, if you forgot what I'm talking about here is the reminder....

Quote

longer to spoil your family and friends.

BTW, the tanks at the IWM isn't that great (You want Duxford for great tanks!). The real thing to see at IWM London is No6 gun, L battery complete in its very battered form, direct from the action at Nery.

Actually the law says that as long as the child is 16 AND accompanied by an adult (over 18) AND that the child isnt served alcohol then it is ok to be in a pub or bar.

EDIT : found the pub details in post above.

Ok, since I like tanks I have already been to the imp-museum several times.

Instead I am more interested in the Pub event afterwards.
Please flesh out the pub details and I might just pop around for a few or dozens.

Make sure Bitters and pork scratchings availibe at the venue ;)

Cheers
