My WTF moment of the day, have you seen something similar? Like, why would anyone want to keep a tier 5 gun on a tier 8 tank, EVER?!

Possible explanations:
- He doesn't know that he can unlock new modules and mount them
- He doesn't have credits to buy upgraded gun
- He doesn't understand the difference between AP and HE shells, so he thinks HE inflicts more damage

Did you take a screenshot? I would love to see M26 with the 105mm howitzer gun

It's like playing Russian Roulette at the minute. You step out in front of an IS-4, wince as you prepare to have the top of your skull blown off by the M62-T2, then breathe a sigh of relief as the D-25T bounces off you instead, the equivalent of hearing the empty chamber click.

He was probably bankrupt and couldn't buy the top gun or resupply its ammo, so was using the derp gun to at least slowly grind the tank+crew.

Funny thing is you need upgraded turret to mount 10,5 but don't for 90mm. (if I remember correctly).
Of course is possible that just work better for him because of play style and/or maybe he uses gold ammo.
Most likely he thinks that 180mm pen is not enough and rather derp away.

In the same day I saw IS-3 with BL-9 casually shooting HE at everything, and IS-7 shooting only HE as well.
