I wish there was an option to turn TEXT chat OFF in game. I find that the information you can send or receive is adequate using the Function keys.

If you’re playing with friends or a platoon or clan then I’m sure 99 % of you are using some kind of voice comms.

The problem with the TEXT Chat is that it only appears to be used to insult fellow team mates upon their deaths. They died and it’s your fault because you’re a noob, camper, useless, idiot, whatever and or they don’t like the style of your play.
Quite simply I’d don’t want to get dragged into some slagging match TEXT chat and end up getting reported or banned for a few days.

So to be honest. I’d rather not be able to even see it if possible.

Then don't respond...you can turn off your internet as well, just in case somebody acts immature, trollish or just plain raging on the net!  :Smile_blinky:

The battlechat might sometimes be filled with cursing, trolling, über-raging children, but you can also get relevant information there. I often ask other tanks to fall back, push or wait, depending on the situation.
If you are the only two tanks defending a chokepoint, or pushing against lesser tanks, it's pretty bloody important to know who's doing what, when and how :Smile_Default:

I agree 100%

If that option would be there i would have it on 99% of time.
Mostly insults coming from players on that chat.

SHADOWTHX1138, you already have bad winratio and other stats, and you want to be even less useful for your teams!? If you see so often bad comments about your gameplay, you must do smth wrong during batles.

There is already too many people who doesn't read chat or don't understand English or think that teamplay is not important, and it is better to hide all battle or suicide.

i very often talk in battle. Giving advice like "the last time i saw the tiger 2 he had 300 hp" or "there is a TD guarding that flag, don't go" When there are only 3 or so tanks per team, information could really help out.

The game commands are nowhere near enough. Maybe "back to base" would be good but everyone ignores it, you have to explain the situation anyway like "go back to base fast tanks, us heavies are gonna cap their base".

Sadly it's used way more for insulting than to exchange valuable information, i understand but you should just try to ignore them rather than disable the chat completely(if that's possible, i'm not aware of such a mod).

Wow, I'm actualy surprised. Usually if somebody ask for chat bloker there are 5 replys with links imediately. This time I can see more mature responses.

@ Rockarola & Szturmi: my opinion exactly. +1 for both.

If you turn of chat you can't even see "Affirmative", "Back to base" and so. Though you still can write your own crap.

I play for fun and really don’t care to much about my STATS. Yes your right I’m not as good a player (did I say that I was?) as YOU believe you are. I am only 1 14th of a team.

Stay on topic.
