[0.7.4]Historical Realism Mod re-modelling...

Sgt_Krollnikow51's Photo Sgt_Krollnikow51 27 Apr 2013

In the WOT EU forums are some threads where some modders explain how you start modding or remodelling tanks. Just use the search function and you will find some posts or threads for that.
Here most people are looking for interesting mods or historic accurate remods of their tanks. They DO NOT mod or skin by themselves in most cases.
So be so kindly.....................and look at the start of this thread where the guys of this "project" give you informations who they are and how to contact them.
Exactly these mates you should ask for.
Posting here and asking for a huge amount of information  and be a bit pissed of if you do not get it, is, I am sorry to say that, a bit childish.................
If you do it as I have told you, I am sure you will be successful in getting your informations you want to have to.................

Sometimes, patience is a luxury .......................

You are right to some degree, but, when I ask a question and I see the person respond in his topic and completly ignoring me, what should I think of this? Would it be that hard to say something at least, regardless of what it is? I know I`m asking for alot of info and it`s not easy to explain in just a few lines, I fully understand this, but simply getting ignored sure is not "cool".

One of the main reasons I even asked is because I have to work in a lot of 3D modeling programs so having more enjoyable stuff to do will help me learn faster. I`m also more interested in giving WoT tanks a better battle "feel" and I think I have a few decent ideas how to do that.

Here is one exemple of what I`m thinking to do :

But it doesn`t really matter now. I might have behaved wrong, but ignoring any request regardless of what it is about, it`s not normal as any answer is better than nothing in my opinion. Thank you for your time!

You want an answer instead of being ignored? You asked for someone to teach you modelling in WoT and his time.
I don't have any.
Mule isn't playing WoT since 7.3, cause it's crap
Foxdie left WoT long time ago, cause it's crap
Serpenta's playing like 3 battles/month, cause it's crap
AFAIK, Gnome don't know how to model for WoT

I'm sorry, but I don't think that beside me and Gnome, anyone from the team is still checking the forums.

Your example looks quite cool and is a realistic view of a tank "in action".
In this way I have had made 1:35 scale Modells of tanks in the past, but,  with the modelling of virtuell tanks I am not familiar with.
So maybe Ares or some of his friends can help you to realise your ideas. Maybe you find someone in the US Forum, who can help you, but here is, so far as I know, nobody who has the time to train you in 3D modelling and so on.

Thank you for your answer. Maybe my english is that bad or I suck at expressing myself, but I`m not looking for someone to teach me how to model. I already know that and I have experience with a few programs.

My problem, and only one, was to have/find a reliable way to export WoT models into something that I can use and modify as I wish. After I`m done with the changes I also need a reliable way to convert them back to WoT format aswell as help in making sure that the models will work/display properly. I have tryed a few programs but for some reason they don`t seem to work on my computer. So I was wondering what other options are there for exporting/importing in a reliable way WoT models?

Little announcement, all requests on this thread are going to be ignored, it's impossible to keep track of all the requests and a pain to find back a request we remember seeing etc
You can post requests on the blog website here
http://historicalrea...p/requests.html
We think this is better because we'll be able to reply directly to requests, so discussions will be more structured
Any model specific comments should go on the mode's respective page too, better chance of getting a reply that way
