The Republican Guard decided they should find alternatives to cope with substantial budget-cuts in order to show they were not losing the grip on high-risk crime fighting and patrolling while still maintaining relative elasticity on other duties as well...

Whenever I see the 'GNR' on the Portugese police's uniforms and equipment, I always read it as "Guns 'n' Roses".
