Yea I just realised that I posted this in the introduction part lol. I understand that the player base in randoms probably aren't ready for ARRVs yet lol. But with the future implementation of historical battles, company battles and even clan wars. At the end of the day repair kits are finite. Also, currently there is nothing in the game that can give HP back.
I know there is no chance of it happening but would be great

Heya Challenger,
As a tank specialist, can you give us your opinion about the current state the Tiger I and II are in gamewise ?
If you ready any tankbook available they all mention both tanks as thé biggest surprise on the WWII battlefields, yet in the game it is more of a joke.
I'm curious to see your response !
And welcome to the wot thingy ;-)

May want rename the thread to something like "Challenger's tea time chatter" or "Challenger's Casual Mutterings" or "Challenger's Raving Rants".
Or even "Chally's Chantings"
Or even "Chally's Chantings"

Hi The_Challenger, I think that as resident tank expert you might be interested in this thread:
http://forum.worldof...-in-game-tanks/
It contains several historical solutions for gun balancing for all factions.
This thread also contains my personal research for an almost full german tree based on posts by WG devs through the years:
http://forum.worldof...lords-proposal/
If you were so kind to take a look and pass information to the devs it would be great!

And I have a question for the creators of the game. You wrote recently that the update 8.2 are fixed some things that were in line with the historical truth. I think that in this game a lot of things wrong. I refer to one of the tanks to not float.
ISU-152:
engine:
In-2IS power of 520 hp
In-54K with power 520 hp
Weight - 47.3 t
Speed - 37 km / h
Armament:
152.4 mm ML-20S
152.4 mm BL-8 or BL-10
152.4 mm ML-20SM
However, in the game:
engine:
In-2IS power of 600 hp
W-2-54IS power of 700 hp
Weight-45.73
Speed - 45.73 km / h
Armament:
152 mm ML-20S
122 mm A-19
122 mm D-25S
122 mm BL-9S
152 mm BL-10
And here is the question: what inspired you as your "historical compliance" is that rather than another?
Is it really that hard to make half as much and for that real?
I must admit that the more I play the more I reflect WOT on the adventure with this game.

Hi Grymson,
Our developers always tries to stick as much as possible with historical accuracy. However, you have to consider this is a video game, and as such, we need to keep it balanced to be fun.
Things that are highly accurate are usually dimensions, names, modules available and armor plates.
Engine horsepower, suspension, traverse speed, damage or accuracy tends to be secondary stuff we modify to keep the tanks balanced and fun to play.
If you observe carefully, you will see that a great number of tanks have seen their speed slightly increased compared to reality for balance and fun. It just wouldn't be fun is everyone was limited to 18kph max off-road.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask..
What would happen to a real tank (any ww2 tank) if it didn't stop in front of tank traps, but just kept on going at medium or full speed?
The tank traps/barricades I am thinking about is the one on the picture, of course multiply traps in a line and in full and real size. (the on the picture is a miniature of plastic)

3-16. STEEL OBSTACLES
a. Hedgehogs. Steel hedgehogs as shown in figure 3-14 are relatively lightweight for the obstacle effect they provide, and they are quickly installed or removed. They are designed to revolve under wheeled vehicles and puncture them or to belly up tracked vehicles. Unless kept under observation and covered with fire, the enemy can readily move them aside. They are well adapted for use in vegetation high enough to afford complete or partial concealment. Exposed parts should be painted to blend with the background. Hedgehogs are made up in rear areas, using three angles about 10 cm by 10 cm by 1 cm (4 in. by 4 in. by 4 in.), 120 cm (4 ft.) long, and 1 cm (.4 in.) steel plate about 50 cm (20 in.) square. A hedgehog of this size weighs about 75 kg (160 lb.). Hedgehogs are used in rows, with at least 150 hedgehogs to each 100 meters (328 ft.) of front which is to be protected in this manner.

Hi challenger,
thousand thanks for your serious and historical sophisticated thread.
I like tanks since my childhood, served in the heavy artillery of German Bundeswehr (M107 and Hotchkiss Scout Tank) and fight since January 02 2013 the virtual battles in World of Tanks.
Have a nice day!
