I've found the two to be pretty evenly matched overall. The 59 brings more armor and ding-shields to the battle, while the 44 is more mobile and punches a little harder. I may be wrong, as I haven't driven the 44 before, but I think the 59 is easier to use than the 44, by beginners and veterans alike.

Agree/disagree? Discuss!

i just say the Typ59 isn't a Tank of World War 2 he was constructed at year 1956 so i ask me why is this tank inside this game

Well, the only problem T-44 can have with Type is it's bouncing armor. As long, as you know where to aim, you've got better RoF than Type, so you'll rip him faster.
And yes, you're right that T-44 is faster, as I can often wave to Types I'm overtaking to the Himmelsdof's hill ;p
I don't think that I can hit harder than you, but as I said, I'm shooting faster - 6.65 sec to be exact, with 100%, rammer and vents.
As for driving difficulty, don't really know, I've never tried Type, so can't really say. But better armor might come in handy for newer players.

Mostly because a large portion of the player base is chinese and a chinese premium is a good way to appeal to them and get them to spend money on the game. There is also the fact that the Type 59 was really a copy of the T-54 which is in the game, so a copy can't really do any harm in terms of how mordern the tank is.

I just say it's not the problem to be discused here. There are a lot of WW2 tanks in this game and I really don't see a problem with it.

Also it is called World of Tanks, not World of WW2 Tanks, just saying.

Look in the game description and this has been said 100 times before WOT is based on tanks from 1930's - 1950's the golden era of tanks not just world war 2

If your going to count credit income than the Type is definately the better choice. But lets not:

On one side, the Type gets that nice bouncy turret. But its really slower than the T44. Both features gives both tanks certain options, as the Type 59 can "hull down" more effectively where the T44 can circle around a target alot better, get into position faster to scout/fight/cap/uncap. I think that last mentioned qualities make the T44 the better tank, but in a 1 vs 1 shootout im not sure which tank would win. They are just too similair.

I am avoiding direct engagement with a T44 when driving around in my Type59...

As a T-44 driver with above average stats I can safely say that the type 59 is the best tier 8 medium. It has stupidly good armor for it's tier while having good mobility, can't be circled, good DPM (barely below T-44, which is penetrated by everything tier 7+). It's the perfect tank for bad players too due to the armor which allows for mistakes. It even has the same HP.

And yes, I consider the T-44 a better tank than the PII and M26. It doesn't win a 1v1 per se but I feel a T-44 adds more to the team. Type59s are T-44s with a skillcap that's at rock bottom.

This game isn't based on tanks just from WW2, otherwise there would be very few tanks at all, it mainly focuses on the early to mid 20th century tanks. No where does it say that this is a game with tanks only from WW2.

Among premium tanks, the type has much better credits income than Lowe. I don't really know the t-44, i am trying to get it( 1 month probably).i love type anyway so i hope t-44 its worth

...that's a lame thing to say...if this bollocks of history raping continues,we'll soon have Abrams vs KT or T-90 vs Sherman...They(the devs) should  introduce historic battle mode for real enthusiasts...and let the ignorant, money spending noobs play Batchat vs Pz 4...

well having played both i would say the T-44 tops it most the time as even unskilled drivers in the T-44 will find the front armour bouncy enough and if you get in close to a type and stay there most type divers seem to bounce their shell off you. as for the dmg i think its about the same dmg they deal but the T-44 seems to fire a little quicker and more accurate and the accuracy is the key to the victory in a duel between these two as its all about the weak spots

I really liked the T44, a bit sad to sell it - but the type just make a crapload of credits in comparison and is much bouncier - so I'll live with worse acc, uphill speed and gun (not bad, but LB-1 is just awesome (for its tier)).

How about the ammo rack problem in Type? And what's the reload time with 100%, rammer and vent?
I thought that T-44 would blow up like T-43 did, but I was surprised how rarely I'm being ammo racked. But I can see exploding Types quite often.

T44 is better. Faster and better reload time, the rest, it's kinda the same. The things a med needs to do the job done

I use a wet ammo-rack on my type and it helps a lot... can't tell you reload time since I haven't bothered to check.... only thing I can say is that from the few battles I had whenever I encountered a T44 it was an easy take-down compared to when I fight another Type59.
