I watch the Euro at the beggining I was either for Germany or the Netherlands but seeing Netherlands lose I think it will be Germany vs Spain again. Also I like Russia and Ukraine (as my nick shows :D) and we will see.

Russia and Ukraine are both at the top of their group. Damn Russians and their overpowered boots! For some reason the pundits here in Britain were saying that they expected Ukraine to be bottom of their group too. It just goes to show.

Well, Russian's will fall under the German precision from long range :)

Nah Russian power is better than German precision. And Ukraine is the hidden team in this euro I think they have a chance.

i,no we as nation have never been so dissapointed by our national team, the dutch team that is,i am so ashamed of my team.they play awful and we have a coach that still hangs on to his system, whatever that may be,we 16 million fans have no idea.perhaps its good that we have been humiliated like this,in this euro 2012 we have no right to even be there.good luck for all the other teams,we in holland lick our wounds but we will come back, hopefully with a different coach and a better team, peace out. :arta::Smile_amazed:

I tell you something: The best teams are simply doped. Especially the top teams Spain, Germany, Italy, France. Football today is just a big money making machine, without doping all matches would be horrible slow and boring in the 2nd half. If they would be able to test all substances (they are not), i'm sure many, many players would be catched. But the organisation doesn't want it, it's all about money and they are ok with it.

Watch this documentary (its german though, maybe there is an english one too):

What do you think about Polish players?
I also like Germany. I want to see they with Delanuay Cup in Kiev :)

I think they have trouble playing a whole game at a decent level. That unnecessary draw against Greece really necked them.
But at least it necked the Russians too, which probably saved a few lives.

Kuba's goal against Russia was one of the high lights of the tournament though. And he's just a great player; true fighting spirit.
Lewandowksi was playing too much on an island in front, that's a pity.
Obraniak was disappointing, but I think he just put too much pressure on himself. I heard he wanted to prove himself to the Polish audience, being more French than Polish.
Talking about that, Perquis proved himself IMO.

Wasyl did incredibly well in central defence considering that he hasn't played on that position ever since he's playing in Belgium (which is 5 or 6 years).

Tyton did well in goal (and is easier on the pronounciation front than Wojciech "I will throw a lot of consonants at you" Szczesny). And Szczesny really supported him well, despite being dropped from the first team even after his suspension.

I supported for Croatia, now I'll just support whoever brings me the nicest football.

That's interesting, well, what little I could follow of it. I speak only English (although I do know quite a few German words and can muddle through sometimes).

There was a debate about this topic (medical science in sport) on Philosopy Bites that you might find interesting...

Michael Sandel is always worth listening too. :D
