Just now in my brand new, stock Lorraine 40t, i'm one of the last 2 tanks in my team, i'm capping on Karelia, the other is an M12 defending the base. Our enemies are an ST1 capping our base and a Hummel defending theirs.
I have no idea where the Hummel is, and the M12 is having a hard time dealing with the ST-1 and we're heading for a draw on capping. Now the rest of my erstwhile, dead, allies start shouting noob at me for no reason, i ask why, because i'm always looking to improve, i may have played from beta, but being at uni abroad the whole past year has meant i've only just been able to play again.
Do they give me any reason? No. just more useless shouts of noob until one says "cap earlier". Theres no way i could've capped earlier, so i've no clue what he's talking about. Amidst the shouts of the enemy Hummel charges out of nowhere and luck shots me before i have a chance to turn my turret to engage. This of course results in numerous more noob shouts and am barely able to respond before the cap completes. I'm not sure what i could've done differently, or why on earth my actions to try and save the battle were met with such hostility, i don't generally get offended by such things, but i am rather confused.
Anyone have any ideas what i could've done?
I therefore politely ask people to in future, explain why someone is being a noob, especially if they ask. If they're being purposely stupid by ramming each other or shooting blindly at everything, then i can understand just insulting them and moving on, but watching whilst you're dead, when you could quite clearly offer some advice, DO SO! People are not going to improve if you just insult them, instead, help them understand why what they're doing is wrong, someday, it may help them become a decent player, instead of getting annoyed by the game and leaving, or just deliberately trolling because you keep insulting them
Thanks for your time

dont take advice from anyone in randoms. They are always wrong and stupid, which you found out.

The players are getting more and more rude, primitive.
I dislike also all these wanna be Guderians, shouting NOob, Idiots ,stupid team, noob arty or whatever . . .
Nothing again a productive comment. Like "Cap faster", or "back to base only arty left there", or "i can't stand the flank on my own" but that is behind their horizon!

Ignore them... I had the same.. i was T34 there was 7 of us, including 2 other T8s on malinovka... we were all on hill andthey had only leo and ferdi. ferdi in their base leo capping ours.. I saw, that all others went for their base, so i hurried back to kill the leo... i succeeded at the last second and when i looked at the map i see that the ferdi pwned all SIX of them, and the chat was flooded with eclamations NOOB and so on... Just ignore dickheads like that... XVM mod helps by showing you, who you should ignore

OP: Unfortunately there are a large amount of socially inept individuals playing at the moment. It makes no difference what you did, if they are dead and you are alive, yet somehow you failed to win on your own, you are insulted. Use the no-chat mod for randoms if it gets too much, and if in a platoon, use skype or similar.

Things is, i didn't think i played that badly, i mean, the insults are no where near the worst i've had or seen, i just genuinely want to know what i could've done.

A replay would be nice so that we could judge...
I disagree ! I think that no matter how stupid a player is acting, there is some sort of reason behind it. Calling another a noob is to spit at that reason and I'm sick of it. There should be banning option for "unbecomming a tanker" behaviour.

Sometimes I play platoon with friends. Few times we have killed about 9-12 tanks and they have called us noobs, just because we cap! "Three enemies left kill them" and they are next to our base ready to cap and so on.
Once we were playing in arty platoon. We were supporting to one side because they needed help there. Suddenly amx 13 90 rammed thought lines and killed two of our arty (Including me). Only S-51 most inaccurate and slowest firing was left. Not sure but maybe they could have chance to catch it, but it just slipped through middle. At other side of the map there were our two tier 9 heavy amx (In platoon and same clan so maybe also voice chat) with good hp left and T32 and they were shooting enemys E-75 about 350 hp. Behind that E-75 were one Jagdtiger and at least one little heavy. They were detraking that and called our last arty to finish him. Arty was reloading and other flank needed still help (Not big tanks left there). They just kept detracking it and called for artillery strike and called us also noobs. (Well if others of us were alive we could have supported them too). Im not sure but amx should penetrate E-75 easily, and with little maneuver they could have got it easily. But no they just peeked behind one corner and everyone was shooting at them. Why didn't they just flanked him and finish him? They died and T32 was left. Then they were calling us to noobs even more. The other flank was clear of enemies now, but with heavy casualties. Now our S-51 had a chance to shoot there to help. And ques what, he missed. NOOBNOOBNOOBNOOBNOOBARTYNOOBARTY. Then they rammed through that flank and we lost. Well of course it is easy to blame arty.
Same kind of situations like you had. Only noobs call other players as noob. Don't believe them and don't spread "the noob".
And maybe there were also kids playing with you. Nothing bad at kids but sometimes they just don't understand.

Well, that replay only shows one thing: The CZP clan was being represented by idiots.
@OP,
Dont worry about it. Your team had no good arty support in valley because all the arty was sitting at the base and none bothered to come down to sit at valley for decent support. The decision to go back and go thro middle was probably the best choice since your were stock. Still, 3 kills and a good cap attempt for a stock lorraine in a tier 9 battle is pretty good.

Sorry ! I was so angry I didnt read your question right.
No you did nothing wrong. Actually I think you did very good with a stock tank. Breaking of from that flank was the right move at the right time. You didn't rush the middle, but went careful along. - Good move in my book. You did nothing wrong. If I were you, I'd send the replay and a complain to CZP. Thats all...

I just don't understand why people feel the need to belittle and insult strangers at every oppurtunity, i only play randoms because none of my friends play WoT and i've not had much success in finding english speaking Tank Companies. It just pains me to see the Xbox Live culture creeping into WoT

Thanks, I tried my best and tried to play opportunistically and take advantage of what was there support was there.
And, yeah, it does seem that they weren't exactly representing their clan...
