What makes an OP tank?

If a tank has excellent all around armour, it is good for roflstomping weaker tanks. The old KV had ridiculously powerful guns without the SU-85´s awkwardness and low HP, so the "long by tier V standards" reload of the 107mm wasn´t such a drawback.
Also, I think autoloaders in general are balanced- however, the penetration of the Lorraine´s 100mm gun allows it to basically walk up to an equal-tier heavy and press the fire button until it is dead- mediums are supposed to flank, right? That´s probably one of the major reasons why the French are being bumped up.
Also, high tier artillery in groups of 3 or 4 simply can´t be dodged reliably. 2 is still fine but more than that makes life hell.

Voted mix of stuff (and russian, though NOT-german would apply better).
A player does not affect what a tank is, so that is an invalid argument.
Most of it comes down to balance of speed, manouverability, armor, firepower, camo and vehicle size. That is what determins a tank's effectiveness within WoT most, and pretty much all russian tanks have atleast 5/6 of these qualities locked down.

To Ascender´s comment: Yes, russians have most of those stuff, but, in the new kv-4, there is no speed, no armor, mediocore firepower, bad camo, and huge size..

an OP tank is one that irrespective of its controller, has a massive advantage over other tanks in the game. The most common advantage is that of being in the wrong tier i.e the K.V. prior to the the patch

Artillery, you can't fight it while it shoots at you from other side of the map with biggest guns in the game causing huge module damage and shooting over cover. What makes it OP that it stays out of harms way and you cant do shit about it. Artillery is simply overpowered until it will get some other unit to counter it. Right now only arty can counter arty, yeah...
Have been using artillery A LOT and I think its damn cheap, gameplay exploit I would say, a design problem.

Not one thing make a tank OP, you need more then one. fast reload, fast speed, good mobility and good penetration.
They all together can make a tank OP but just one of them would not do that.

OP for me is when the tanks you face have problems pening you and you can pen them like the mini maus at tier 2
Until the tectrac came along there where few tanks at tier 2 that could hurt you and one v one you where the daddy
it shows when you do 100 battles and get like 30 topguns and loads of other medals etc

OP tank: hellcat, t50-2, marder, t82, Panzer IV, SU-85, Object 704, T110, T29, Tetrarch... some more, some less...
Any tank that get you unplatooned 65%+ win rate in randoms can be considered OP...

I would agree with you few patches ago, but its armor isnt what it used to be + ammo racks often... However, its still a too close to real tier 8 tanks in performance IMO. Premiums shouldnt be equal to same tier regular tanks...
Just check my stats with this
Let me show u something:
Stock Tanks -> Prem Tanks -> Elite Tanks

I vote for the matchmaking.
Some tanks get a more favorable treatment than others when it comes to MM, so they tend to be viewed as OP because of that.
