Good morning Genntlemen,
I like this game very much, but i m doing a job that i need to move from one place to another continiusly. At the middle of my way, many many times i have a nostalgy (cause it is a lot of hours) to play my favorite game WoT and i cannot cause the only thing i have with me is my netbook Acer aspite one. I request from you, if you can make a netbook edition for all of us (i know we are many) with the lowest requirements so we can spend our spare time for xp. I tried the compressed textures addons, i tried everything (i think) buit the game didn't go over 3-4 fps. This would be usefull also for our friends with old computers, to join us and play all together. I kindly begin you to make an official client. We need it. We now that you are hear us. You have one of the best support from all the mmo i ever played. I dont want to read Disney's comix in my spare time! i need to play Wot with my buddies.
Thank you for your understanding

Well, in that case I want a calculator edition. You know, for when the math lessons in school get too boring...

A netbook is not meant for playing, you need atleast a real labtop with a normal GPU&CPU to play games.

As much as I agree with OP, what this game really needs at this time is HORNS.

Yes sure...i agree..it need power to join the gpx......i have my main laptop for that and i m running it in high graphs with 40 fps. II am happy. but take a look how many players want it? I installed in my netbook http://forum.worldof.../page__st__4880 this one and i am playing with 3% textures and i am enjoying it (not much cause it works max 3 fps). 2 teams worked to make compressed tectures for that. Why not to make somethign to run around 10-12 fps for a low power pc such as netbooks?

EVE online works on netbooks with some graphics tweaks, or rather workarounds. You cant undock and the 3D parts are black and dont load, but you can access ingame chat, mails, add skills to queue etc. On older notebooks(2002 and older) you can even load the graphics partially, but on those the game crashes after 30-40 seconds.
There is a reason developers dont care about Internet Exporer 6, its too old, the user must upgrade if he/she wants to browse the internet proplerly. Why in the name of satan should they need to go through the migrane to double the developingtime just to mariginally add support for something outdated that not even cavemen would use?
No offense but get a real laptop, there are great 13" laptops that are cheap, and they outperform netbooks in all ways.

Here is Greece mate...there are no more money to spend for new laptops....it is just a suggestion to make our life easier....I didnt asked something bad, i am trying to suggest an idea such a "Safe Mode" option in graphics menu as we saw in other games before (the first that gows to my mind is Soldier of fortune) or a netbook edition. I can understand that maybe will be difficult to develop something like that but i think there are also other players that will be happy that they can play woth more fps.

Netbooks are just for surfing the internet and watch a lowres video or hear music... they aren't designed to be able to handle games... maybe really old ones...
besides with the small screens that netbooks have gaming would just be painfull... must be masochistic or really addicted to want to play with such a crippled machine
WG should work on client stability and fps performance for normal PCs, and Laptops and not bother with useless niche products like netbooks...

WoT on netbook is rather not feasible really. Many don't even have a proper gpu to speak of, so forget about that. What I'd personaly want to see is support for WoT on laptops. Seriously. I have a laptop that I sometime use for my 3d work, and it's sufficient. But WoT? Niet kamrad.

All you people saying netbooks can't play games are morons.
They can play vintage games such as Morrowind, EU2, Rome: TW with ease. Newer games I've had running on mine include Bastion, Torchlight, Frozen Synapse, Star Trek Online, Trine 2... I can go on and on.
The biggest problem with mine is I stupidly bought the 1024*600 model. There are similar models available with resolutions greater than 1024*768 which would allow me to play World of Tanks.
This is directed at the less sensible answers btw:

I'd settle for a laptop edition. WoT runs rubbish on my new but low-end laptop, so instead I play Morrowind (actually it runs Oblivion fine too) and Torchlight on it.
I remember playing Planescape Torment on my Aspire One when I first got that, obviously it ran fine, until I hit a game-killing bug :(

+1 - My Laptop is quite old now and will play WoT with the gfx settings turned down low, a "lite" version for portables would be handy...

Holy sh#t!!!! Even NASAs supercomputer has problems running this game with good fps... and you expect your notebook to run this with more than 5fps? Go play wolfenstein 3D... if your notebook can even run that with playable fps.
