So basically i'm experiencing major FPS drops since the update. Normally i have above 30 but after update it sometimes drops as low as 16 and even 10. The game is very unplayable when it gets that low.
Please WG, fix this.

I am experiencing bad stuttering rather than fps drops, which seem to be related to effects. Sound is stuttering and bad now.

I'v not had this problem yet it would be help if you post cpu, memory and gfx cards types so we can see what has problems. I have Amd athlon2 x4 2.8 overclocked to 3ghz 4gig memory and nvidia gtx 280 with a fps 80+.

It's the unoptimised code would be my guess, most likely involving the new lighting.
If you have the 3.02 drivers it's laggy on a lot of setups for some reason, you revert back to the older drivers (2.96 or something) and it mostly fixes the issue although the FPS is not very steady anymore.
It's just bad programming.
You don't go from a constant 61 fps (vsync on) yesterday to less than 30fps magically overnight. Your computer doesn't suddenly develop arthritis and have problem handling data anymore. The patch is broken.

well..i am agree with evilfarmerbob. Before that patch i had around 50 fps, more in sniper-view. now its broken down to 10 - 15, also in sniper-view. I am sure i dont need to post my cpu or gfx card or whatever, because i didnt changed anything overnight.

Hi!
I agree, I experience the same issue.
After the update, I found the game more subject to stuttering/low FPS.
Weird... :(

Ok, the patch is very unstable, but thats another topic^^
Me and my brother have both hughe fps drops.
From 60+ to 10-16 fps.
System spec:
i7 920
6gig
460gtx SLI
My brother:
i7 920
6gig
470gtx tripple SLI
Both systems are waaaay over the normal requirements.
I can even do realtime rendering with GPGPU at 10fps^^
I would suggest that instead of doing new tanks and maps (wich are droped one patch later...^^) rework the basic rendering system.
Even in school we learned multicore programming^^
And porting to 64bit is not that hard, there are even some hacks wich enable the 64bit flag to avoid the texture problems in 7.2^^

edit:
can all other pls post if the game crashes when you leave and if in that case a fps drop occured?
I think that the fps drops and game crashes are somehow connected.
edit2: sry for doublepost, that was not the edit button XD

horrible horrible fps drops... I have a i7 2600k, 8GB Ram, 580 GTX.... and at times i drop below 20 fps... i tried changing drivers, settings and stuff, but it didnt change anything or made it even worse...
On new maps worse than on the old ones, this time WG really screwd up... dont know how ppl with worse pc than mine can still play.
i dont even know what they changed that it got so much worse...

Several patches ago, WG added many effects... I was naturally scared it would drive my FPS down, but it actually improved FPS (patch 7.0 or 7.1), was very happy.
now in patch 7.4, nothing too major was made to UI, I didn't notice anything special but suddenly my FPS is horrible.
And like some people say, it's not even the FPS per se, it's horrible game stuttering.... everything feels like it's not smooth, jumpy. :( :( in 7.3 it was working OK.

It's a bit ironic that they tried to make the game look better, but instead for most of us it now looks much worse since we have to lower the settings a lot. :s
