I dont know about you guys but i think something needs to be changed to help ballance assault mode. Im finding that 90% of the games where im attacking im loosing and winning most of the ones im defending. whats your views?

2 times I had to defend 2 victorys. 2 times i had to attack 2 victorys. Just depends on the players in your team like always.

I think it varies. While the gamemode is still very unbalanced I think we need some data to prove it, although I do agree that defenders most of the time are advantaged. I've won as a defender couple times but I can't really say as most of these battles were really close to defeats.

It just depends on how bad is the defending side. If they hide in the bushes and let some scout to spot and then burn everything that get too close then they're never scouted and it is very easy victory for defenders.
If defenders are very dumb dumb and let someone scout them all the time it's 50:50.
This game mode is weird and encourages players to quick suicide and move to other tank rather than playing for several minutes for slight chance of victory.

I just started a similar thread in the German forum, because I also think that this mode favors the Defenders, but not everybody agrees.
My prognosis is, that once players become more accustomed to the mode, the scales will be tipped even more in favor of the defenders, since
their job is rather easy to learn, whereas successful attacking needs coordination which is N.A, in random battles.
Maybe the attackers should field slightly stronger tanks than the defenders.
I had the pleasure to win 15:2 as attacker in Malinovka but only because the defenders acted really stupid.

I have seen more victories for attackers. If the teams were somewhat organised, then I agree that defenders have advantage, but most of the time it is chaotic mess, so I would say chances are pretty even.

It's a matter of time until players learn where/what they have to do in this game mode, so don't sweat it.

Language comes secondary to brains. If brains lack, they could all be native English speakers for all it's worth, still gonna fail miserably.

I cannot see any difference in the new game modes compared to standard battle:
So the only real difference is the location of the base to be conquered ...
And over all, it mainly depends on the wits of your team - you have idiots, you loose. You have smart ones - you win. Doesn't depend on game mode for me ..
- 60% of the standard battles you have a team of campers while the other team actually tries to conquer the enemy base --> so this is just like the attack mode, just depends on which team you are in.
- 40% of the standard battle I find myself in a situation where both team manoeuvers in order to conquer base or destroy the enemy team --> just like encounter mode.

from 27 battles I had 2 assault games, one on def side, one on attacker side. In both games the attacker won.

So far i have found Assults to be the most enjotable of matches, I feel they are balanced. However it all depends on your 'random' team know what to do and how to react etcetc... same old same old.
If your the attacking team then you need a team that is aggresive and supportive yet awre to watch flanks etc. Any campers and you will lose (you have to capture base or kill all tanks with in the time there are no 'draws').
If your the defending team you need a team that has scouts that can passive spot and above all players who under stand defeniseve does not mean camp.
Assault matches = to many campers on your team you lose.
Encounter matches is all about players understand the principle of Captute bease is greater than kill all. Again to many campers on your team or those who want frags frags and more frags, you lose.

One problem i've noticed whilst being on the attacking side is that you still get campers! I presume that this is how they always play so they just can't adjust to this mode at all.
You press forward, only to find that around 3 or 4 of the team have set up in defensive positions- either near the arty or on some high ground which is probably out of view range of where the defenders will be.
This happens almost every time. Equal numbers of attackers to defenders is difficult enough, but in most cases the attackers actually have fewer numbers because of this behaviour!
Perhaps in time it will change, but at present its pretty enfuriating!

I played Prokhorovka yesterday, starting the game on the hill seems really bad as you're terribly exposed with few useful shooting positions while the assaulters have some excellent hull down and flanking opportunities behind the train line.

Whats even funnier when your attacking, is when the campers see reds move towards where the base used to be, they go to defend it
. Just going to take a couple of weeks. Hopefully.
