Take a few APCR rounds with you and you won't have any problems with damage. Due to the amazing accuracy this is the perfect counter for the new British TDs.

Got much more average damage and frags with the AMX105 than with Grille or SU5 so at least for me this SPG is the best T4 SPG(haven't tried Priest on the live server but I hated it on Testserver).

Damage doesn't win battles, victories win battles. You have higher win rate in SU-5 than in AMX 105, so maybe you prefer AMX but technically speaking SU-5 was better tank in your hands.

With GLD and rammer it gets quite alright, even if the crew isn't quite 100% yet. APCR really helps when you're against the more heavy tanks.

It's a reasonable arty for a Tier 4, and performs well in TC due to mobility and ammo count. I prefer it to Grille because of larger gun arc means upsetting your aim less. However, it does do poor damage to heavily armoured tanks. For this, I load APCR and hope for the best!

I played a lot a french tier IV pem arty ( the LefHB2 ) and found it just amazing. Big gun arc, crazy ROF which in fact covers well poor average damage. This is about raining shels form the sky. And u can realy piss of those pesky Churchils and KV1, because u reload faster than they can repiar their tracks. Its funny how u can just permatrack ans suck ~100 hp every 6 seconds. And when I bought AMX 105AM i found it very poor on stock gun, due to very temperamental accuracy. In fact, hitting something was a lottery. Now when it is fully reaserched, I find it superior to LefHB2 in terms of Accuracy and damage, and what is specific to french arty - mobility. Yesterday I found that two tanks just come to rape me, PZIII/IV and KV1, both had about 340 HP. I loaded gold ( I take about 5-6 rounds with me ) shoted PZIII/IV in the face and killed him, and then the dumb KV 1 tried do circle-play with me around the house on Westfield. This was real funny, as I charged him around the corner, and shoted in the ass as he even didnt turn his turret to me. I think I like better ROF, because it gives u bigger field for errors. When u miss "one shot nuke" like grille, u have to wait to aim again and reload. With this kind of arty, every miss is not pain in the ass, because u have another one within 7-8  seconds.

As i mentioned above, The damage varies so greatly as the shells dont have much of a splash radius, so you have to hit the weakest spot for the HE to do big damage.

This is very hard in arty but doable.  If you hit the tank in the rear or top of turret you will do a lotof hull and insane module damage, If you hit front or tracks bearly or no damage at all. Its simple. The SPG is very fast as it needs to move to keep firing at the vulnerable places

The major flaw in this reasoning is that in random good luck finding team mate that would appreciate your input (no track and pushing foes behind hard cover instead of doing a pull, but then again this is "random" as we all know if).
