Well, I have tried about 1 gazillion times, in 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and now 7.4 to get the statistics to show in battle with XVM

It just won't happen. EVERY other aspect of XVM works great, except for the only damn one I want - the statistics.

Why the heck? I do run it via the xvm proxy.

When I run it tho, this message appears at the bottom;

"Can't assign a drive letter or mount point"

does that mean anything?

please help, this is just getting annoying.. wait.. it got annoying 4 patches ago. please help!

Thread moved to fan section.

I'd really like an urgent reply to this, as I can't find the answer that solves my problem in any other topic. And believe me, I have looked.

I had this problem too. Running xvm "as administrator" fixed it for me.

I am no expert, but i know that XVM uses a mounter.exe process to do its work and if its not running, you'll get that message, and i know that it is part of the Dokan library, this used to be a required download of the very early versions of XVM, so i would say check to see if you have this installed and running the process, if not, try installing it.

Wouldnt hurt to check various drivers and stuff like .NET as well.

But running as Admin might fix that as well, if the system prevents it from launching the process for some odd reason.

Also make sure you have an XVM profile loaded, that sometimes causes problems for people when they forget to pick one.

Did you put the XVM.xvmconf file from  "World_of_Tanks\xvm-doc\samples" into  "World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.4\gui\flash" ?

Also...you you have the latest version ( version 2.4.1) ?

Don't the XVM mod people have their own forum?

always run as admin

works for me - np (i wish i did not half the time)

When I run it tho, this message appears at the bottom;

"Can't assign a drive letter or mount point"

does that mean anything?

I had the same:  I was running the game from my D; drive.  Changed the game back to the C: which fixed the mount problem.
I would appreciate someone telling me where the config file/string is to tell XVM/Dokan to look to my D: drive as the game loads the maps and plays slightly faster???

Why would you want the XVM anyway? Ignorance bliss, do you really need a reminder that you are playing against not 15, but rather 29 people every game...?

I had the same issue after the patch. It was solved by reinstalling Dokan lib.

You need to put the config file from those additional files folder in the gui/flash folder!

I know this doesn't answer your question, other people here will give you a solution, but I just wanted to tell you : don't hurry to get the XVM. I used it a lot and uninstalled it as late as yesterday evening, having used it enough to make sure it's a total fail. The player stats actually don't help you that much (real purpose...?) and many are actually biased (for instance, many clan players have insane win ratios and/or performance scores whereas it's only due to Clan Wars); as to the win probability %, it's an epic shit. As a matter of fact and from my own experience, if the mod tells you that you have 22% chances of winning the game consider quite the opposite, as well as the other way round ! I have already lost many times with Win hopes above 90% as well as the reverse.
In a nutshell, this mod is just totally useless and should imho be either removed or dramatically reworked from top to bottom. So you don't actually lose anything.

So? Gameplay Discussions forum is for troubleshooting as well. If someone else fails to install XVM its only normal to ask advice here. Yesterday some people were upset they didnt receive gold and complained on Gameplay Discussions. They refused to submit a ticket for financial issues.

Personally I think XVM have an in-built protection so dumb Joe cannot install it.
