Which should i do?
Tracks > Engine > Gun
Tracks > Gun > Engine
Also, should i grind with the 88mm gun or the 105mm gun? I wasn't very fond of the 105mm gun on the Jagdpanther, does it fit better on the Ferdinand?

I have chosen this variant ( tracks - 1st engine - gun - 2nd engine - radio), when i was exploring Ferdinand. Because in my opinion it was more important to have even a little boost in mobility . Otherwise you will have different problems with well performance of this TD

IIRC I took the path tracks -> 1st engine -> gun -> rest , coz I really wanted to get more XP with the much higher damage potential of the last gun. I like to stay back a lot anyway in my TDs, but sometimes it can be a pain without good engines (decap needed, fight is taking place on other side of map ...).

I already have the first engine due to having an (almost) elite VK3001P, so i can skip at least that.

I'm doing the 2nd path right now.
It is soo hard to move with the Ferdi when there is a tiny hill somewhere in the way.
But on road it is acceptable.
The most painful is the turning speed. When I have to turn to aim at a tank it takes soo long that the target tank has a lot of time to go to cover.

2nd path. The ferdi is not much fun without the top gun. It obviously has poor mobility but when you hit the enemy you want to be able to dish out some pain! I only got the gun a night ago and closing on the engine fast now I am earning more XP per battle...

Tracks then gun would be my suggestion. Ability to dish out big hurt, is more important to the Ferdie than a bit of extra speed.

Ok, should i grind the 128mm gun with the 88mm or 105mm gun? The latter has a higher RoF than the one on Jagdpanther, so may be a feasible option. Your opinions?

You said you didn't like the 105 on the JP, I did, so I didn't have a problem using it on the Ferd. Personally I don't think you can get by at T8 without the alpha damage of the 105. But many others have done, and got by. I think it's a case of try both and see which you prefer.
Just remember, while the 88 may have a bit extra PEN, and way better ROF, the 105's aiming time is .5 sec quicker, with nearly 50% extra damage. So for me, 105.

just unlocked ferdi and soon I will have enough credits to get it and crew it with a good crew...I guess I will be using the 88 but Im not sure. On jagdpanther 88 definitely wins but on ferdi the 105
may be a good choice.
I think upgrade path should be pretty clear: Tracks, gun, engines. Maybe get the first engine before the gun but it only gives 70 extra HP compared to the first one so I don't think it is important and the second engine takes too much exp.

10.5 it was for me, but I like that one also better on the JP. Gave me a nice 10 kill match once, am pretty sure I wouldnt have done those with the 8.8 :-)
Good luck on your grind, and keep up the Ferdi! :-D
