Hey guys,

For all you tank experts out there, see if anyone can recognise all of these tanks correctly.

Some may be obvious, some may not.

NOTE: I take no credit for any of these images

4 looks like a Leo to me - tracks are far too short and far too big compared to the hull to be a Panther.

1. T-62 Correct
2. 17pdr SP Achilles - Correct
3. Wrong not a T-15
4. I actually dont have an answer for this one, initially I thought it looked like a Panther, but it seems to have an obscure turret.
5. Panzer 1 - Correct
6. Chaffee - Correct

Still number 3 and 4, and the extensions to guess.

Tank no 1: clearly a member of the T-54/55 family. Based on the infrared illuminator, extra fuel-canister placement, I would say an upgraded, early 60's version. However, the sheer number of modding done to this model could make it pretty much anything between a T-54, a T-62 and a T-72.

Tank no .2: Sherman with AMX turret, Israeli mod, used up to early 70's. Also clue from the T-54 variant on the right of it, the only place they ever met face to face, was in the desert wars of Israel. I do not really buy it as an Achilles.

Tank no. 3: Italy's very own medium tank, a M11/39 or 40/41, they kept modding it. Clue from the writing on the front drive - Ansaldo, Fiat. Initially labelled as a light one, L60/40, but the suspension is different, my bad.

Tank no. 4: Although the drawing can be a bit off, I can be little else but a Leopard. Hull is too short for a Panther, not even a VK2801 qualifies.

Tank no. 5: Panzer I, still, not the basic version.

Tank no. 6: Easy, the mighty Chaffee :D

Tank no. 7: AMX 10 IFV ? There are som many turret versions I got dizzy trying to count them all.

Tank no. 8:  M18 Hellcat, but of course.

Tank no. 9: Crusader

Still number 3 is wrong, you have the country, just the wrong tank.

Well, number three is indeed a weird one. The suspension makes it clearly a Vickers development. So that pretty much narrows it down to M11/39, M14/41 and a M13/40, maybe a M15/42. Problem is, the drawing doesn't really fit any of these, because:

M13/40: it has a big ass, hull mounted MG. Drawing has none.

M11/39: turret different.

M14/41: was well used by the germans, so it would go with the Heer markings.

M15/42: long gun, fits drawing, not much else. This one has also dual hull MG, drawing has none.

Its the Italian Carro Armato P40. The reason for the German markings is that after the Italian Armistace the Germans took over the production of the P40, although production was later halted due to the lack of engines.

True enough. I didn't figure it would be a heavy tank, not with that gun and riveted construction...

Only the Italians considered it to be a Heavy tank, other nations considered it to be a Medium.

Yes he does, impressive. Although, you didnt do too bad either. There's till the Extension tanks to answer, if either of you wish to have a go at those.

Tank no. 7: AMX 10 IFV ? There are som many turret versions I got dizzy trying to count them all. Jordan/UAE/Kuweit bought and modified them for desert conditions.

Tank no. 8:  M18 Hellcat, but of course.

Tank no. 9: Crusader

All 3 Correct. Good job.

@Listy: I cant see those images, could you post another couple up?

I have these two aswell which I'm not sure on:

1.
Spoiler

2.
Spoiler

I'm guessing the first one's the Patton? And is the second one the Hellcat again, it mounts a similiar turret?

Nope.
M26 Pershing for #1.
#2 is a M41 walker bulldog.

Damn it.. my usual image hosting website has taken a dump. We'll have to see about the pictures later.

Nope, that's not AMX 10 IFV. That tank is a russian made BMP-3 IFV:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP-3

Also, this BMP-3 IFV that we see in the picture is in service with Kuwait's armed forces. Example:

Ah, yes sorry my mistake. A turreted AMX 10 IFV looks very similiar to the BMP-3.
