Yeah put some moar effort into them you n00bz. Like Wargaming is ever going to read them or care. seriously whats with the open letter whines that WG wont read. just make them a whine poast and quit with the open letter stuff. its annoying and serves no purpose other than cluttering up the forum.

Thread moved to Off-topic section since it has nothing to do with General Gameplay.  Please refrain from insulting other players while making your points.

And here I was, thinking that forums were meant to have conversations.

Yeah, and let the developers know that everything is fine with they game and make them feel like they're doing a good job. Believe it or not, they actually see these threads. They may not care, they may show that they don't care and we might feel like that but they are actually seeing the threads.

No matter how worthless it seems you have, in the best way you can, give the developers an idea of what they're actually doing. If there weren't whines, there wouldn't be good changes.

At least put some effort into your post.

For my part, I think people should be able to speak their minds (within the forum rules) whether it be via the "Open Letter" format or some other.  This applies even to your rant against "Open Letters."

I don't really see anything wrong with people speaking their minds and expecting that WG to pay some attention to their customers, as long as the feedback is constructive and not simply a profanity and insult-laced rant.

I think I have put quite a lot of effort into the open letter.

I have done my best to write about the problems expressed by the community on these forums in a clear and coherent manner to make them easier to read for Wargaming.net. For me, it is, what I may term, doing my best to help us players be heard. It costs me nothing other than a little time out of the day, and judging by the amount of robust and healthy discussion that is going on in the thread, including a very reasonable reply from one of the moderators, I think it is being heard.

And, I wonder if this is just me, but doesn't it seem a little hypocritical to complain about a 'whine' post, or to complain about cluttering up the forum by opening a thread to do so?

If you have any issues with the open letter, then please, by all means, post them in the original thread, and I will do my best to address your concerns in as clear and concise a manner as I can, provided I actually know the answers, of course.

Whiners can turn into winners.
Worked with Komarin. Took WG a whole year to react, but it worked!

Or we could all just give up on the game. Give no feedback so it just dies.

I wonder which one makes more sense.

Does anyone that can actually do anything read them?

You know what scares me? Soooo many people with the 'beta tester' badge writes insane stuff.

If WG had proper beta testers,  I wonder how the game could have been..

It's not about the beta testers. The WoT developers know about 0 damage pen hits since they've even claimed that they have "fixed" it a little bit..

They are just incompetent to design the game, properly.

My guess is that someone has made a fundamental flaw in design of the game (hitboxes, the module mechanics, some ridiculous assumptions at the lowest level) and it makes it now very hard to fix it, without breaking it somewhere else.

And in order to fix it properly - they would need to redo the whole game mechanics from scratch. Propably - including every hitbox model for every tank in the game.

The primary function of the people playing on the beta test servers is to provide statistical data which is gathered by WG. They probably log internet traffic, lag, overall vehicle performance, and maybe review battles which are flagged as having unusual results to see if there is an intrinsic problem with the game. Beta testers are basically rats in a maze, not part of any QA team.

Thanks to Cuddly_spider for clearing that up - I thought some of them did feedback write-ups etc. I guess it's just WG fault, then. But after all, they have made some right choices too!

I_was_here_97: I didn't know bout WoT then.
