T6, Moving forwards at last!

Hi all, im on the verge of moving from T5 into T6 tanks, and i have a choice of so many tanks, especially mediums. As a player i do like the long range, move, snipe shoot style tactic i learned from the Pz3 Ausf A and the M8A1 TD (hope thats the correct number for it) I do like TD's but i want to know a good T6 tank to learn the new teirs in, one that doesnt get put in terrible MM situations, tbh i dont care what nation, i just want a nice gun, and reasonable armour pls, any suggestions?

VK3601, VK3001P, both good.
T-34-85 is OK, but I found it a bit difficult to use in some teams.
Russian heavies are all good, I'd try the KV-1S, or KV-2 for some fun. T-150 is good, but gets pretty bad MM at the moment, so there are some fights, where you don't stand a chance.
If I'd have to choose one from the above, VK3601 100%. I still have it now and it's boring to drive, because it is so good ;)

one and only M18...
sure, no armor...
but with speed, gun, gun depression and few more nice ad-ons, who needs armor?
of all tier 5/6 i have now, and i was having before on other acc. m18 is best.
hell, for me is best vehicle at all in wot currently.
when i need win, money and/or fun is only vehicle i am sure that will provide me all of those 3 things...

How in the world can you recommend the VK3001P ?! Did you know the "P" stands for "phail" ? ( sarcasm ). No but really, 3001P is bad, 3601 is very good.

I'd recommend the Vk3001H path. It is pretty bad, but it leads to the Panther, Panther 2 and E-50, which are THE best tanks if you want to be mobile and have the ability to snipe at the same time. Panther 2 and E-50 have a nice armor for a med, theyre fast enough to be called a medium tank and they have very accurate guns that also have enough penetration to damage distant targets.

Totally agree with this and am always surprised because people talk of the VK3001P and the VK3601...and tend to forget the VK3001 H.
I played quite a lot with this one and with the last 88 gun it's a good machine. good armor and rather fast.
Anyway with tier VI you'll enter matches with tiers IX...

3001P is excellent but does need to be fully upgraded stock its hard work, upgraded its an epic balanced mobility firepower and speed.

VK3601H baby!!! My favourite medium of tier 6. It is however, NOT a sniper. It is a close support tank, so you may not enjoy the play style as much.
M10 Wolverine is a super TD at tier 5, I can see you've played it. From what I hear the M36 is just a better version.

If you're playing TDs, then I recommend German line. Sure, T6, the JagdPanzer will be a terrible experience and it will be painful to operate, especially after the aswesomeness that is the Stug. However, if you manage to grind your way through the JagdPanzer, you'll have some of the sweetest TDs at your disposal.
JagdPanther is a joy, if not a privilige, to drive. Good gun, fast, decent armor.
Ferdi is also a good toy. Especially with the top gun. The speed hurts though.
JagdTiger is a monster. Though relatively flat armor, it has a good gun, accuracy and rate of fire.

if you want mobility + sniper ability i would definetly go for german med line. e-50 has the most acurate gun in game, combined with 60km/h (altough agility is not good), it can really be a pain in the ass for enemy team

M18 Hellcat is the best mobile sniper at tier 6 and in game overall IMHO.

You shouldn't forget about the French lights.
The AMX 13 75 and esp. the AMX 13 90 have very accurate and fast firing guns (due to the autoloader revolver), thus turning them into very good snipers.
Additionally, they are very fast and agile (again: esp. the AMX 13 90), which makes them capable of circling heavy armoured enemies. I had a lot of very great games, where I could (for example) circle a T95 and render him useless for the rest of the match.
The drawbacks of those great tanks are the extremely weak armour and the high MM class (since they are light tanks). Nevertheless, they are a great experience, which you should try yourself (If not now, than keep them in mind for a future grind. But be aware that this tech tree will be changed in the near future, i.e. all tanks above and including the AMX12t will be moved up one tier, as the Frenchies get a new tier V light tank.).

VK3601H probly best tier 6 tank, VK3001P probly worst,
all yank Tier 6 tanks & TD's are good and some thing for every one. M6 & T1 heavy very underrated
USSR heavys quite good, for me meds were hard work till T44
French 13/75 very good havent tryed TD's. ARL not good, but M4 1945 makes a great sniper with top gun.

How about the ARL 44? It have solid frontal armor, high pen and good mobillity with the top engine (18.8k xp... BLARGH!)
