I started WOT since I wanted to short the time I had to wait for WoWP. Since I'm much more of a plane fan than I'm a tank fan I will greatly reduce the time I play WoT but surely won't quit. I think that it will be something like if I have much time I'll play WoWP (since you have to log in a controller and stuff) and WOT if I don't have that much time.

Eventually all accounts will be linked, meanig you use same login for all 3 games, and if you need money for new plane, you can earn some with your tanks, and wise-wersa

I will surely play it... but I doubt that I'll play it on a regular basis. At the moment I'm terribly bored of all this F2P MMO game stuff, since it's always the same perpetual grind... And WoT is one of the games with the least diversification, so I doubt WoWP will be much different in that aspect...

Played a little of the beta but I didn't like it. The pace is just so different from WoT due to the lack of cover in the sky, and it's pretty much impossible unless you play with a wingman to watch your tail; otherwise you either get shot down because the guy your fighting has a wingman looking out for him, or you just end up in an endless turning battle where the first one to break gets killed.

I really don't know if I'lll be able to play it...

Last time I checked the minimum system requirements for WoWP are higher that WoT's and right now I'm playing WoT with the minimum quality settings.

I hope the developers improve the performance of WoWP.

As I finally got to play it I can answer this.

First impressions I expected even more of a WoT clone. However they made the controls quite, what's the right word, harder to master I guess. In WoT it is fairly simple and you will pick it up with your first game - movement, aim. In WoWP they of course had to make the controls more difficult or else the guy behind you would kill you every time.

So what does it all mean? It means the game is much more demanding and instead of a slow paced shoot, go to cover, reload, shoot game you will get an intense hands on controls action packed flight game. Yes depending on the situation you might like a fast paced game but the pace of WoT is really a thing that stands out in my opinion.

You simply won't have any relaxed moments in WoWP as the information that you will have to process is huge as a thread might present itself any minute. Just imagine a game full of T50's or T-50-2's, that they could all fly and the fighting area is usually 1/4th of the map as people tend to bunch together. Now imagine how you have to keep track of enemies, friendlies, your firing angles, altitude, speed and maneuver at the same time as you probably are getting shot and trying to shoot someone. 2-3 intense games and I was kind of beat.

I would say WoT might still be my main game but I am waiting for some ship action but once in a while to take the skies will also be fun.

As an alpha tester having much experience with this game already; there's a steep learning curve.
The controls are difficult, even with an expensive joystick.
If you're not an avid flight enthusiast, you will hate this game in it's current state.
If there's someone behind you and you don't know what an Immelmann turn is, you'll turn into a burning piece of metal within no-time.
There's no cover except for terrain, though the problem with terrain is, it's a long way down.
If there's someone above you, he'll have an easy time chasing you down even though you're taking cover behind a mountain.
See it this way, a WoT match filled with 30 T-50-2's who are all at Malinovka's field.
What you need to learn is to evade all those T-50-2's but getting away from the main battle isn't an option.
There's no room to breath, your lungs are filled with water and there's this one guy behind you with a massive gun.
You have to keep track of your angle, approach, speed and altitude just to aim. If you overshoot, you're a lump of metal falling down.

If I look at WoT, it's a jack of all trades, WoB will probably be even slower paced and WoWP is your fast paced shooter.
I'll go for them all though, I like the concept.

Is it anywhere near Ace Combat, gameplay wise?

I'll give it a proper go sometime, I have issues with the layout of the game and my joystick hurts my hand like hell.

More or less. But AC is easier to play. This would be IL-2 Sturmovik with simplified controls.
