KV-5 to be removed

Magecraft's Photo Magecraft 19 Jul 2012

Guess the is-6 is not selling well :) Also like the "we will buff it in 7.5" but you have to buy it before then to get as many sales as possible :(

Wanted to buy KV-5 and tried it on test server. Then i realised that this tank is a waste of money because it earns only double profit of my Churchill.

Well, at least you guys with it will become a little bit more special ;)

I don't know why anyone bothered to buy it, though.

EDIT: But yes, this is a way of forcing sales on a slow selling crap tank, which will most certainly be even less in demand after the new premiums arrive in 7.5.

Is it because the tank will from now on have tier 9 mediums in his battle spread? Even with weaker opponents this tank had serius issues. Maybe they are afraid of the backlash from new owners? while we old owners get our asses handed to us by all the T-54s, Pattons and E50s...

It's because people were obviously buying the cheaper tier 8 premiums and thats not good for WG

Maybe it will "return" as a 10000+ Gold Tank with bigger gun? :Smile_veryhappy: Next to the old KV-5 of course.

What a cheap business move. :Smile_sceptic:
And of course it willl work as all the WoT players jumping on the train to get one before it will be (temporarily) gone are partners in crime
The same way Type 59 sales were at peak when they announced its removal from the shop.
Coincidentally they announced a slight buff for the KV-5...

If WG adjust the new tier 8 premiums price.... if they think that are going to sell a ton of IS-6 after remove KV-5 they are a little inocent lol.

"if you're too greedy you end up with nothing"

PD: is so hard understand that is better sell 10 for 7.500 than 2-3 for 12.000??? :facepalmic:

KV-5 was never a very good tank
It is large, has glaring weakpoints, and it's gun is poor for its level

Seems to me, WG are trying to get players to buy it
When they announced the removal of the Type 59
Players swarmed the shop for the tank
Looks like something similar here
We shall see

If it is going, lets hope that something better replaces it
Unless it's removal is due to the introduction of KV-4 and IS-6
Like I said above, we will see

guys you are reading this message all wrong

What actually it means
:
People buy this tank as we need money to pay our electricity bill!
and some VODKA so our developers can make new map like "Dragon Ridge" so that your guns can aim at random points of some hills.

The sales for KV-5 have probably stalled. What does WG do? Let the players know in the patch notes, that they are going to buff it - then remove it from the store.

Of course it will increase the sales. The players figure it may become very good after the buff and will buy it right away, because it's the only chance in a good while to do it. Also, not being able to purchase it adds to the exclusivity. And of course, by removing the cheap premium, players will go for the more expensive ones.

Cheap money grab or smart business move?

Why? It's not really swarming the battles like the Type 59 was.

You will see it swarming soon when they restrict the availability. If you restrict something it becomes more desirable. That's how minds of the masses tick.

Unless WG thinks its too similar to the KV-4 so that they'll remove it.

Ah well, the memories of old R2-D2 will soon be over, unfortunately.

They want to have only one prem t8 heavy for each nation. It's good to train crews with premium tanks daily doubles.

This sell out will pay the 7.5 development fees..

The reasons for removing premium tanks from the store is quite simple:

As a result, the clock is now ticking down!  If you were considering purchasing the KV-5 but decided not to - you still have a chance to enrich your collection before it is too late to get one.

"Buy this tank before it gets removed and we will make more money, quickly!"

Wasn't different at all with the removal of the Type 59. :Smile_trollface-3:
