I have recently bought T14, Churchill, Matilda and Valentine. All of the tanks except Matilda have good matchmaking and are fun to play.

Closest tank out of this premium bunch I can compare Matilda to is Churchill:

Churchill:

• lots of hit points - 700
  
• good armor - hull: 176/76/50, turret: 88/88/76
  
• low speed - 28 km/h
  
• gun: 110 pen / 75 dmg / 25 rof

Matilda:

• lots of hit points - 610
  
• good armor - hull: 75/70/55, turret: 75/75/75
  
• low speed - 25 km/h
  
• gun: 86/110 AP, 38/156 HE, 16,15 rof

Problem is that it gets into much stronger games then Churchill or T14, which both have same MM. Before anyone says that it's medium, when you compare stats you will see that this classification doesn't matter because Matilda acts more like heavy. When it gets into a fight with level VI tanks, it's completely useless.

I think that premium medium tanks of level V should have same MM as premium heavies of level V. What do you think?

Next patch Matilda will get same MM as  Churchill tier 6 max

But Valentine 4, 5 and 6?!? What's up with that? That tank can barely damage any tier IV...

Rebalanced tank battle tiers (relatively to the new balance system introduced in the first 7.5 version)

• Valentine LL: battle tier reduced by 1

Matilda is really fun when no level VI or VII tanks are around ;)

So far I've only had high tier matches, which is a bit annoying given its limited ability to fight these. So roll on 7.5 match-making!

Matilda is a great tank, and yes it acts more like heavy with that top speed, armor and overall behaviour. Also, matchmaking is a bit unfavourable to it since its gun is worthless against e.g. VK3601H or KV-1S etc. I mean you could do damage of 80-115 hp with nice shot but most likely you'll ding 5-6 of 7 shots on them, and they finish you very quick in the meantime. I would be perfect if you guys would buff its matchmaking to  T14 and Churchill's like, but nevertheless it's fun tank to play.

The matchmaking already is the same as Churchill and T14.

i just got one, i have yet to try it out but i look forward to playing it.

Well, Matilda have maybe the same mm like church or t14, but is worse than both of them.
It has weak armor (well it's med after all), decent gun, and is really, really slow...
It's funny that Kv's are faster than me in matilda, even tho I am using the oil thing :D
Won't u agree that Matilda deserves at least the T-30 max speed? Right now it is a HT with an MT gun & armor.

A different T5 medium, the T-25, is just worlds better than Matilda, even if it has worse matchmaking it can deal better with Tier 7 than Matilda can deal with Tier 5 and 6.
