Some good ideas but some I wonder if you are actually British and not some jonny foreigner!   Far too much Rupert stereotyping....

Radio repaired: "Radio is up Sir We have Vera Lynn on radio One".

I get the vera lynn reference but would  "Radio is up Sir We have the BBC on radio One" be better?

"BBC Radio One" is a radio station. The popular music station for da yoof innit.  Only thing is that it only started in 1967.  Which is why the Vera Lynn quote made me laugh.  She's probably the last British singer to be playerd thereon.

So, your suggestions looked good DarkJanne and yes brits like to speak modestly we're not gung ho when we fight in war it's with professionalism and gallows humour. We leave gungho to our American friends.

Also wafu_vasco is correct most commanders were NCOs (non comms) and even most of the commisioned officers where not upper class, tankies were generally engineering types, the toffs (public school types - Ruperts etc) preferred the infantry with their past family glories etc.

By the way DarkJanne are you just playing here or is there some hope that WG will use your suggestions?

Thx :).. What do you mean by ''By the way DarkJanne are you just playing here''?

Ye gods, agreed. The stereotypes in just the first few lines made me cringe and my teeth start aching...

As in 'Is this a serious suggestion'?

If the answer is 'Yes', then as an Englishman/Brit I really think this could do with a total re-write. I don't think any real 'bloke' has ever spoken like that ever when not messing around.
