Hi does the xbox console get dusty on the inside?I am asking because once at 3-4 months I dissasemble all my equipment(laptop,tv.etc)and I clean them and oil them.
I didn't dust the xbox,because I just got it 2nd hand,but I did clean the controllers.
Anyway does anyone who own/ed have any ideea of how much dust can it get on the inside?
I have to mention that I mostly use it with the fan at max speed and it does a preety loud noise at that speed.

hi,
i have an old Xbox and i have cleaned it once , cus of red ring of death.
i follow this youtube video
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=oiXwA9T26W4
the xbox in the video is same one i have, i did all the steps, except the "removing heat sink of the CPU + GPU" cus i dont have paste , moreover dust can't be there too ;).

my advice , dont disassemble ur electronics devices for no reason, 1)the cover get damage, 2) u may screw up.

P.S i never use oil, cus it help dust to have feast around there :) "that's my opinion ,correct me if I'm wrong"

cheers

Don't get me wrong,I use oil on mechanical parts,ex: sewing machine, controller triggers and buttons, the A button has the problem, etc. And I use special oil.
After  I demount something I willl start demounting the xbox.
Thanks for the advice.

I agree with u in using oil for lubrication.
if u want to clean ur Xobx in easy way, use Air blower.
