Ok guys,

I bought myself an E50M and this is how I feel about it:

-it isn't as manouverable as new Patton or Batchat or T62A
-this is the shittiest DPM I've ever seen (when compared to other tanks of same tier), cause I still haven't got JagdE100
-gameplay is the same as it was to E50
-top speed is achiveable in an hour or so on flat terrain (asphalt)
-armor dings from now to then, but nothing reliable. Besides, if I want to play a peakaboo, I'll just drive my heavies.
-accuracy is good, aim time is good

I didn't manage to beat T62A or Patton in direct confrontation (you could've done it, I won't say with ease, but you could've done it in your old E50, well I did almost every single time).
Yes I know I can snipe, yes I know hot to play the E50, German T10 is bad, when compared to Patton and T62A.
It still has the same old weaknesses Vs other meds, and it got worse in terms of DPM (fire rate).
I don't see a buff in the way, cause you can do good in it, but I bet that you can do even better in American and Russian T10 meds.
And ramming isn't that much fun, cause enemy meds got heavier, and we all know what that means for ramming.

All in all, it's a sniper tank with lowest DPM, and not even the greatest alpha.
I'm not saying it's a crap tank, but I expected alot more (NOT OP, but more).

I guess adjusting the RoF (DPM) on it would make it balanced against other T10 meds.

Got vent, rammer and stab with crew on 100% with 3skills at 100%.

Well these were my two cents, pls feel free to add your exp with this tank.

Rgds
Kleist

I played it on the test server with my E50 crew, wasnt impressed, I know its not the same as general game play because you dont know who is firing gold but it seemed pretty soft. Don't think I'll bother, in fact might sell E50 if its nerfing pi55es me off.

Only had time for 1 battle today and it wasn't exactly the luckiest. It was on Serene Coast which I don't know since I haven't played test server. I managed to fire 3 shots from which one dealt damage (wow), got hit twice by arty and finished off by a Jagd E-100 soon after. Somebody from the team mentioned that XVM chances for this battle were 14% :Smile_veryhappy:

The gun is devilishly accurate but thats about the only good thing for now. The sixth sense perk kept flashing every time I left any LOS cover (negative camo value anyone?) and the tank felt really, REALLY sluggish (i don't know what type of terrain serene coast uses but it felt like manouvering in a swamp...). Let's hope it will leave a better impression tomorrow when I have more time for playing and possibly a better mood :Smile_Default:

But... a pair of questions:

Is better than e-50 on speed and turn?

It is a good investment of that money or better still with the e-50?

Anyway, thanks :)

e50m is a great tank. Much better than e50. For me its second best new tank. First is 110e4 its TD beast.

for me its pretty much the same as e50, mby a bit better front armor, gun seems pretty much the same, i was trying to aim weakspots in front or shoot from side/back anyway so pene difference is unnoticeable, so far i play very cautious with it, seems a bit faster with accelerating to 40ish/turning than e50, we have to wait a week or so, ppl need to learn new tanks and then we can evaluate them, i dont regret 183k exp/6,1mil credits as i love e50, so i will love e50m also (and im playing randoms solo only.)

Its an OK tank, nothing more. The same playstyle as the E50; snipe some, brawl some and be the jack of all trades...but the master of none. Was not impressed by the tank on the test and of the T10 med's, I will get it last, even thou I have the money and exp to buy it. The armor is good, gun is made for pure sniping, but sniping in WoT meh at best, because the maps are small and there are a few spots for sniping, speed and traverse is better than on the E50. All in all, its the worst "upgrade" from the T9 med's, but I will get it at some point in time, just for the glory and fun I had in the "plain, old E50" :Smile_honoring:

took me 14 battles in E50M to do this, annyone saying its not a good tank is playing it wrong.  but its not a Batchat, T62A or a M48A1. you have to play it like a fast heavy. and rember that you have a 62T tank that moves in 60 kmt. with spall liner and ramming skill you can ram annything to death.

E50m is a good tank, nobody denies it, but compared to other meds, well I just find them slightly better. And still, one battle doesn't really count, does it? However you've done great, upload the replay pls? Cause there are not many T10 meds around.
And for your remark to play it as a fast heavy (support tank), well I just think that T110 is more suitable for that role, considering it's a heavy, not a heavy wannabe :)
Seems like E50 traded it's DPM for more mobility, but it's still less agile then other three.
Differences in acc and speed are not THAT noticeable. And camo value is horrendous :)
As for ramming, that's pretty situational, and your weight doesn't really let you to gain enough speed on flat terrain, to ram someone for 300-500 damage (as a shot).

So what is the change from the old E-50 (apart from a massive buff of back transmission, to quote SerB) ? :Smile_sceptic:

Victory!
Battle: Prokhorovka den 2 augusti 2012 02:58:50
Vehicle: E50_Ausf_M
Experience received: 3 372 (fine for causing damage to allies: 6; x2 for the first victory each day)
Credits received: 82 719 (fine for causing damage to allies: 4 680; compensation for damage caused by allies: 160)
Battle Achievements: Confederate, Master Gunner, Mastery Badge: "I Class"

First blood in E50M, Actually im surprised, its way different from testserver. Probably because of the crew but still. This isnt what i knew the E50M as, it feels good! Altho something is missing.

*edit*
There we have it, the monkey teams, three decent stats tier10/9 tanks camping in C1 under heavy enemy spg rain on Sand River Assault Defender. whilst the rest of the team gets swarmed by the entire enemy teams T10/T9s (apart from one JT). The monkey players that have no clue how to play! Now it feels like the E-50.

I'm not persuing the German medium line, so take my words with a grain of salt, but I think you're badly underrating the accuracy. it is, tied with the JT mit 88, the single most accurate gun in the game [BTW the 88mm gun on the JT 88 did get an artificial accuracy buff, its not the same 88 as on the Jagdpanther].

As a JT 88 owner, being able to hit the stupid little cupola on a T95 without having to be point blank counts for a lot. Same for the E-50M. It looks like its the only tier 10 medium which can reliably pen the tier 10 American TD's frontally at range.

I still need to farm 4 million credits on it but IMO I think it will be a good tank, hence it's an upgraded E-50, giving it just what it needed. Loved the E-50, I hope I will love the E-50 M too

Yep, thanks to the high penetration less of those 1200cr shells go to waste now and actually can generate a profit.

Actually no it is not, its like the E-50 was, but it penetrates more. About same speed, turnrate, same armor, same everything, just the old E-50 with a better gun.
