We need this since months! Yes WG built in a complain function but we all know its worth s**t! I was just in a battle with 2 ppl who were doing racistic comments about several east european countries. Really bad ones, which go back to the events of WW2. Now i was too late with the screenshot and since we dont have a chatlog, i cant even gather proof to report those 2 players.

But there are not just only racist comments over east-europe countries.
Im from germany, and when i write something German i know there will be atlest 2-3 people per match who write shit like "Hitler tot" "Krieg vorbei" or more really racist shi*.
So the chat history should be added to protect everyone

Same when they see turkish players. "Talk english not klingon" is on top of the list" and from there is basically gets pushed to new levels off insults.

One way would be to not care about haters, but since there are younger kids playing WoT I think a chatlog should be intoduced.
It would only have to store the chat untill the end of the battle.
Next to the Battle Achievments there should be a tab where u could download/report or submitt the chatlog.
In order to speed up the analysation of the log i could imagine something like clicking the name of a specific person to bring up his posts.those would be highlighted while the others are dimmed down (dimming is because the others might have said stuff to that cant be ignored)

Grow a thicker skin maybe?
And another thing, it would work much better if people dont use polish/turkish/german in the chat in the same battle.
Keeping it to a language most people understand would minimize the frustrations of people writing those things you cry about.

This would be comedy gold on the test servers, all those RU server players insulting US and EU players in the crappiest ways imaginable. Honestly one guy from the RU server said to me "F*** the EU"- i simply replied "I'm British mate". I once saw one person say "F*** NATO"- again a crappy attempt at an insult. Another one told a US server player "Go stuff your face with burgers noob" when that US player ended up with 9 kills.

Now in platoon chat, of course use whatever you like:) But you have to remember, for some languages they are only spoken in the one country and the majority of people can't understand what's being said-and that always rankles people and causes the silliness.

You should try living where I do, it's very much the reverse. The locals are the minority and we get deliberately "shut out" of socialising and conversation, because we are the wrong race ( we are dumb english to them). So getting off the high horse might be advisable on that point mate.


But back to your original point, aye it would be a grand idea I suspect they have something like this already though, how else would they take action? You can submit a ticket also and submit your replay with it, hope that helps. If you need to know how to submit a ticket, pm me and I'll explain:)

As stated above record the battle and then you can submit the recording to support. WG do bring out a list of persons banned every so often so just keep an eye out for that.

Not trying to trivalise the matter at all but if you don't let it bother you, you will have better experiance playing online games. Just remember that the other person is clearly an idiot (or he wouldn't have made these comments) and if you argue with him you will just upset yourself, which is his plan.

Chat should also be used for battle information only. It is the only tool for communication between a team. So it does help if the comments are in english as this will be understood by the most persons. Even if you are chatting to platoonmates it helps everyone if others can understand your plans. Bad english is better than good polish/czek/arabic.

I must be in the minority, but in over 11k battles I've only ever seen 1 racist comment and that was by an RU player on the test server who called me a very nasty name beginning with the letter N that some people use to refer to black people.

I've never seen anything on the EU server, at least written in English that is.

Like many games on the net this happens ALOT. I don't think there truly is a way of stopping it. They could introduce an auto ***** or something?

Does it really matters since WG dont care about their broken report system anyway. They dont care if you send in screenshots or replays via their support site.

There is a mod that extends the chat history.

Random battles are sometimes very frustrating because the lag of communication in the team,
and WG does nothing , not even simple stuff like that to improve the situation.

It's not like this would be a unique feature that is specifically for this game ,
it is a BASIC thing that ANY multiplayer game has , for like 15 freaking years.
