Serene Coast

It is a nice looking map. But who was the genius who decided to add a small island? LoL because I have seen atleast 1 TD camp on the island every game. And they can hide easily in the bushes + it is very difficult to spot them.
It would of been nicer if WG would of made 1 big island and made it possible to get on to it from both sides.

I guess you haven't noticed the coastline the other team is blessed with, just wait, people will change strategies on the map as they have on all the others. They just have to learn them a little better.

One battle i had on that map half the team were camping on that island, including all of the top tier heavies. Want to guess the result of that battle?

Would be good, that whenever wg add new maps to put them appear more often few weeks then old maps to get used on it.
Cause now from 7.5 I got 3 times serene, port and highway. Thats in 100+ battles Im sure...

Islands seems very easy to be countered by arty as their area is very small and not much space to relocate.
However I don't think that camping on this island ever change - remember forest on Murovanka?
Overally map is nice looking and not bad but it's greatest disadvantage is it's relatively small size. In addition 30% of it is useless in terms of usage.
And yes new maps should pop more often.

having 1 TD there is actually a decent 'tactic'
he can somewhat cover the coastline and usually not many people want to go there so there's often only 1 maybe 2 snipers there
In the games I've played pretty much everybody just went down the west and middle (ofc you have the occasional **** which camps on the island in an amx 1390 etc =D )

Yeah, there sure is a td in almost every game there. Seems to be working pretty often. I think I've played it 5-10 times already with mixed results. There's nice sniping ground in the northwestern area (if you're in the team that starts from north). You can basically snipe to the valley and to the other hill where the south team usually snipes down into the valley (and you can't believe how many freebie shots I got, if they come to the top of the hill, they can be seen without problems.

This map suck balls - is open in terms that there are no zones that arty can't shot. Spot a tank running for cover, arty aims both sides of cover, tanks moves, bang, thank you.
This map should be named Camp Coast.

Played 138 battles in T3-6-7-9 since patch and I have seen this map only once

Finally got to see the Port map yesterday during randoms, and the Highway map only during Team Training due to suggesting it, for none on my team had seen them yet so, all of our maps used during training, were those three because we then had the choice of what maps to play.
Having 30+ maps and three new ones, I'd say that, El Haluff, Himmelsberg, Sand River, Ruinberg, Erlenburg and Redshire are becoming quiet boring to see every time you click on battle. Especially when they are either Assault or, Encounter.

Can someone explain to me why I have had Serene Coast exactly ONCE since it went live, yet have had to endure bloody Malinovka, Redshire and Mines over and over and over and over and over...

I wish I was in your shoes, I am getting this map over and over again and I hate it.
Just my personal opinion but I find this map to be the worst I've ever seen, even moreso than Dragon Ridge or Province. It has scant cover, and the playable area of it is considerably smaller than the minimap and screenshots would have you believe. This means the winner is basically the team with the best view range. Getting wiped out by a firing squad of invisible tanks wears thin very quickly.

I'm not a massive fan of this map because the frontline is quite thin, making it hard to flank or for a light to make a breakthrough.

Would you say the map is balanced? I still don't know what to think about it, I had only a few matches on it.
But i lost EVERY single battle when my starting position was in the north, and I won EVERY single battle when starting from the south! I think the hill on F1 is a huge advantage for the southern team. You just need some tanks with high camo values like Object or AMX 50 120 up there and you can tear your enemies apart.
The next step is to take B2/B3 and then the campers in the base and on the island are really screwed.

see #14
by now i saw two more victories for north team while playing for north one time and south the other time.
reason for my north team victory was simple: their amx 13 90 did not rush for hill but stayed on ground level, hiding like a c*ward behind their Jp E-100.
reason for my south team defeat was simple as well: we didn't have any fast lights or mediums to claim the hill in time.
