Does this not make it a little harder for people to activly hunt them though ? Seeing as there is thousands of battles on at once ?
Before you knew that you were increasing your chance by playing "Tier ?" at a certain time in order to kill the WG tank, now it's even more random and down to pure luck

But props for making it automated !

Still haven't seen once since I started playing this game way back in 2010. That's a lot of battles.

Why remove the publishing of winner's lists?

If it it is all automated then it should not be that difficult for the names to be collated automatically and possibly even published automatically for all to see.

Or are you embarassed by how few people have seen this event in game and how many less have taken part, let alone won?

73.8% from the Poll had not heard of, or seen this event. Only 18.3% had seen it once. Last results, only 41 won.

The poll was added specifically to show our current method wasn't working and needed changed.  In the old system, getting gold for battle hero status when the WG tank survived wasn't really fair as there was instances of the WG tank getting these medals. Because we're not supposed to be just a free kill, I would play normally and frequently come away with say, Top Gun or Defender. Sometimes that just couldn't be helped.

If you're on the same team as the WG tank now, you don't have to worry about protecting the tank and trying to get a battlehero. You just play your own game and try to damage and take out as many enemy as possible. If anything you have a great distraction to help lure enemy out and you can be sure the WG staff playing those tanks will be using that to their team's advantage. In any situation I want my team to win. I won't burden them and neither should any of the other WG tanks.

If you're against the special tank, do you risk going for the gold or do you support the team? One thing for sure is you shouldn't expect a quick and easy kill.

So whose the unlucky staffer who gets to run herd on us until midnight...

I'm in battles quite a lot with this account. Work is very busy atm so not able to get on as much as I'd like during the day.

I killed wg_echo a few weeks ago in the last event and still haven't got my gold. Don't have a screenshot either so I'm all out of luck.

This event would be more fair if you get rewarded for damaging the tank instead of killing, because it only rewards kill stealing... would be fair if like 1 damage=50 gold or something.. And a kill still rewards the same amount of gold... This way more people would have a chance to earn gold.

Same here I got wg_foxtrot early July didn't get any gold or on the winners list, contacted customer support today waiting to hear back from them. Got the replay for it so can be no arguments from them.
