During the focus testing of the game, they took some photos, and theese ones actually captured a little snippet of what appears to be...water.

I noticed these too.

Please note part of the HUD visible on the second photo. Ships seem to have both top down and side view on the bottom right side of the screen. Confirmed for the third picture. I am curious about the demi-circle on top. A compass?

Confirms my worst suspicion though: No arty view, only horizon level.

Naval guns going up to 420mm- WG could have used arty view for aiming. Instead, they seem to have used a horizontal WoT-like aiming system.

Carriers have RTS mode  that is similar to arty mode (cause they are the equivalent of arty in that game), but they command their planes that way.

Hey. I got an Idea, when this game releases im going to get a carrier and shout in every game: CARRIER HAS ARRIVED.

How are they going to deal with the 1km ranges involved with firing low velocity high arc rounds? I mean, even at 400m in WoT, the barrel adjusts for trajectory. This means when you aim at tank 400m away, the barrel elevates automatically to hit a spot on the ground 400m away. When the target is not spotted anymore, the barrel adjusts for a spot closest to you at that line of sight -even if it is 700, 800m away. That is why when shells shot a target spotted moments before, and that you know hasn't moved, fly right over the intended target. They are reaching for a spot much further away.

Now with 1km ranges, and all-in-all arty like guns, the problem will be much more pronounced.

Well, arty does have normal view too right? I'm not sure if I'm buying that it wont be some sort of artyview just yet.

The only difference is between Arty and Carriers, is Carriers can defend them selves and in reality, there Durability is between that of a Heavy Cruiser and a Battleship

Well thank you sir. Also, from the top/side damage panels, I deduce that the upper deck has specific left/right components. Which brings me to individual radio towers/AA guns/cannons being targets to take out one by one.

A war of attrition!
