Ferdi cant flank or move like medium seriously who thinks jp2 is bad try to play it with 2 mediums flank and give big gun support.

In my humble opinion, JPII is a piece of shit, excuse my vocabulary.
Frontal slopped armour is for shit, today it was penned frontally by T50. KV1s will pen it at will, most of Tier VII will pen it at will. Side and back armour are non-existent and you can be penned easilly by anyone from Tier VI.
It turns very slowly, it is really cumbersome.
All cannons except the PaK 128mm are useless in Tier X-IX-VII matchups, - the only usable, the PaK 128mm has horribly slow reload time and I have experienced a lot of bounces in cases of Russian tanks. I could not pen rear armour of IS7, I regularly bounced side armour of IS6... it is a real problem.
It has got horrible visibility, very high silhouette, practically non-existent camo...
...
it is a piece of crap. I am keeping it from purely sentimental reasons. People, do not you ever go for this idiotic vehicle, which does not anything in a satisfactory way...
I mean that this vehicle has NO REAL ADVANTAGE IN ANYTHING. Strong cannon is for shit in top tier matches, when your armour is paper and almost anyone from tier X can cripple you with one shot and kill off with another.
There is nothing exceptional on this vehicle.
It is a waste of time, effort and XP.

You could not pen the rear of an IS-7 with a 128mm cannon? That's hardly the JagdpantherII's fault.
If it's not the JP2s fault it's the game's fault. I've had the same thing happen hundreds of times with different tanks and different guns. Sometimes you just _bounce_ 100% surefire shots that should not have any statistical chance of bouncing whatsoever. IS7 rear is 70mm, JP2s pen is what, 246mm? It shouldn't even bounce at 30° angle. This CAN'T be a pebkac.

JPII... in my humble opinion is not excellent in anything - and adversely - it is under-average, bordering with uselesness, in many things - very weak armour first, non-existing camo second or that frustrating thing that is extremely prone to engine damage and/or fire.
Lower glacis is so glaring and well known weakspot, that everybody aims there - and gets pen.
JPII works decent only as a member of team of 3-4, which is almost impossible to coordinate in random matches. Otherwise it is a dead meat.

I have jagpanther11 had ferdi & jagtiger 128 gun is the best, jagpanther11 is quick and a lot smaller target, so far the best chassis for the gun

Well, you have a 45% winrate in it, not even 1 kill/battle and 943 average damage (wtf?!).
So basically you can't play the tank, how you wanna judge it then? Problem is not the tank,
problem sits in front of the monitor.
As i stated before this TD is a very good one with it's awesome mobility and great gun.
It's bags of fun and the grind to JT was so much fun i didn't notice i'm grinding at all.
Here is my stats wit it so far:

i m close to finish research full jagdphanter and i still dont choose what to buy 1 with so many comments. ferdi has this, the jagd II have that, jezus. i think that the 2 tds are good, just need to have a good player driving it. its the same for all the tanks in the game,ok not all,in a good hands they are all good. its my opinion.

Well, I haven't seen too many JP2 in battles yet, but when they appeared, they always were very dead very soon.

I came here in the hope to find some advice as hopefully tonight I will finish grinding to either Ferdi or JPII. I´m still not sure which way to go now. JP is abit mixed for me, I got awsum games and then I totally fail and get wiped out in the 1st minute which I guess is because I play it "too" offensive ( worked great in PzJgIV ). Playing offensive in a Ferdi will not possible due to his snail like speed but as I play "alone" I fear being caught in that brick means insta death were in a JPII you would have atleast a slim chance to get out.

I went for the JP2 since I prefer mobility over armour.
It turned out to be a bad decision.
The JP2 concept just doesn't work out.
The JP2 is as well camnouflaged as a skyscraper and it is as vulnurable as an artillery.
This is a deadly combination.
It attracts enemy fire like a pile of shit the flies because it is an easy kill for the enemy.
I could live with these flaws if just the cannon would be faster at aiming. But that thing is aims so f*** slow that it forces you to stand still a long time if you want to shoot - making the high mobility useless in that case.
It is a really aweful combination.
You will learn an extremly coward style to play - always staying far behind your comrades - let them spot the enemy - hope that one drives in front of your cannon - wait half an hour until it finished aiming - shoot once and then flee instantly and search a new spot.
The only good thing that I can say about the JP2 is that the cannon has a nice penetration and damage.
All in all I find it an extremly painful experience to drive the JP2 - although I had fun with all the other tank destroyers before.
I can't await to unlock the Jagdtiger.

Based on experience i can say that Ferdi has a somewhat great "fear" value. Sometimes I've been able to hold off a group of tanks from flanking us or just moving generally (and there were also tier 8 and 9 to make it clear) because i suppose they feared the dreadful 12,8.
As for mobility the Jagdpanth 2 easily wins but that doesn't mean Ferdi has a bad mobility. With tracks and best engine you are able to accelerate and keep your top speed of 29 pretty much constantly. You also turn pretty fast
I don't know how it feels with the Jagdpanth 2 but i usually don't fear it to much when fighting it. It feels more like you are certain to penetrate contra to Ferdi where it feels like rolling the dice. But sometimes the whole game feels like that...

Both cammo value is almost zero
Both guns are the same.
Jp2 is fast but got no armor, and the Ferdi is slow with nice frontal armor.
Jp2 and Ferdi got both different playstyles. Its like to compare the IS with the KV-3.
If you like mediums and the medium playstyle in a TD -> Jp2
If you like heavy's and wanna take some risks -> Ferdi
I prefer speed and agility above armor.

for me - that is the problem that I have with the JP2 - and many others too - I find it extremly difficult to play out JP2's the speed advantage with a gun that needs an eternity to aim (I am not talking about reload time, you can hide while reloading, but not while aiming)
while aiming you can not move. you are visible to everyone and you are fragile like an egg shell.
I never found the right tactic for the JP2
