I just got my T29 and I haven't played heavy tanks much, so i am not sure what should i get with the 50% discount.

Gun rammer obviously, but other than that i am not sure. Since it has a fresh crew with no perks, i think i am going to use toolbox until i get perks on them, but thats probably only temporary.

Vents are also usually good, but for some reason the 5% increase for that much credits doesn't seem like that much.

Vstab is generally good, but i am not sure how much use i will get from it on a heavy tank, since i don't shoot much on the move.

Spall liner maybe? Seems nice in theory, but i haven't heard much about them. Does it really help?

Rammer and Ventilation, those fits here nicely.
It's not 5%, it's more because your bonus from commander will also increase.

this, the vstab is really noticeable when using the 105, used the above when i was grinding through the t29, you may not move much when shotting but the vstab allows you to rotate the turret and hull at the same time while maintaining decent accuracy, also means the gun dispersion is less when moving so in effect allows you to reach optimum aim quicker., haven't tried it with the new perk system but BIA will be a must.

Spall Liner seems a must these days with all the arty loving the T29

I use Rammer/Vents/GLD but thinking about going SL.

What do you guys use?

Why do you use a GLD when you can equip a VStab on the T29? It's the way better option.

I use Rammer/VStab and spall liner. Rammer is obvious, Vstab helps you not only during move ( http://wiki.worldoftanks.eu/Equipment - it reduces acc. penalties, so you start aiming with smaller circle).

Still not sure about spall liner, but I get hit by arty way too many times. Maybe if i learn how to hide better, i'll change for Vents.

Currently using rammer/vent/binocs  but rammer /Vstab/binocs is just has good if not better.
you should be hull down in the front line so you want to see the enemy b4 they see you, so binocs are a must.
being able to see (and shoot, you and the whole team) tanks that you would normally not even see  is worth 100 X more than any other equipment.

And since only about 10-20% players know how to spot correctly, if you re a good player you will be doing the spotting most of the time.

If what i m writting is complete non sens for you go with rammer/vent/Vstab since you won't be using those binocs anyway.

Bino's are nonsense as the Viewport gets damaged as soon as someone sneezes on the other side of the map.
376m -50% + 25% still needs a spotter.
You can use that slot better between vents, rammer, vstab, repair kit and spall liner

spall liner has 2 drawbacks:
penetrating HE hits will penetrate no matter if you have a spall liner or not, the chance is not reduced
it lowers your HP per ton, making you less mobile
despite that, since it greatly reduces splash damage it currently is one of the more usefull pieces of equipment for heavy tanks, but you need to be aware that it does not make you invulnerable (to arty)
