Best tier 8 Tank?

knightM's Photo knightM 17 Aug 2012

Generally tier 8 tanks are quite nicely balanced there are not extremely bad ones and no OP ones. Just some are harder to play than others, but it's mostly up to your playstyle. So first play some tier 5 tanks with different playstyles to find out which one suits you.

It is enough to buy premium account to solve this problems.

that is true. But premium account dosnt last forever like a premium tank. Premium tank is buy one time only. So if you dont have much time on your schedual to play tanks. Premium tanks are more worth it. As premium account will be more money than its worth if you only play 2-4 hours a day.

Best tier 8 is T32 in my opinion.

Decent speed, accuracy and pretty good armor. Also when you have space for "hull down" position you can do wonders. As you have well armored turret.
Big minus is low penetration, so you need to know weak spots of enemies.
IS-3 and VK are also pretty good tanks.

I agree that the T32 is the best if you know what you are doing. If you play T32 "wrong" way, it's not that good and dies quickly. Play it right and it's very nice. If you are lucky and conditions are great (no arty, top tier, arctic region, north glazier), it can be unstoppable.

There are no really bad T8 heavy tanks though.

Tier 8 is like pinning the tail on a donky,,,,, No mater where you pinn it you will win a prize.....So look at Tier 9  ....as they differ alot ...

Best fun i had was with pershing.
Worst fun is with superpershing :P.
Also liked isu152 a lot, because of BL10 gun - other guns made me go mad

Tiggie 2 or IS3 are very good as heavy's
the T44 and the Panther 2 are gd mediums
and the entire german TD line is fun 2 play aswell

but i agree with most other players here in saying that u should play some more battles in the lower tiers and grind ur way up yes its slow and annoying as fuck sometimes
but it will give u a better understanding of how 2 play the game

i only got the tiger 2 on tier 8 so can only comment on that tank

its a beauty the stock version is great as the armour is good and the gun can do a lot of hurt for low credits

if you get top of the tree in tiger 2 its gonna be a game winner and if its a tier 9/10 game then dont worry change roles and become a sniper

had many a good game with it but as i said its my only tier 8 tank

Whoever says, "don't buy premium" don't listen to them. Having a premium early on will teach you just as much as playing on low tier battles. Sure you will encounter a lot of experienced players, but tough competition is the best way to learn. Also the premiums will give you a huge boost in income, and trust me - stacking up silver early on will save you a lot of frustration when working towards new high tier tanks (at tier8 it's getting expensive).
And as some people have stated- There are no best tier8! Sure, a specific tier8 might top the WIN/LOOSE ratio, but it all comes down to how you like to play.

Personally i have tried: Tiger2 (loved it!), VK4502A (hated it!), Panther2 (liked it), Ferdi(Loved it after 12.8cm upgrade), T32 (Ambivalence, sometimes super and sometimes not. Though it's known to be a very decent tank..)
Again, it all comes down to preferences (maybe thats why some people here advice you to spend time in lower tiers, to get a feeling for what kind of playstyle suits you).

Anyway, good luck finding your favourite  :Smile_Default:

I can't believe no one has mentioned the KV4 :Smile_amazed:

I've been playing a year and gone right up through the russian heavies without premium, including the IS3 which I did not like at all. OK so the KV4 is real slow at first and the gun isn't great but when you get towards elite it's a great tank. Playing in a 6-8 tier game yesterday it took 35 hits to finish me off. Weighing in at 110t you feel it's solid lol

You can't call it a money maker but if you play average-good it will return +ve for you.

If we don't count the Bat Chat 155 SPG (53.7% global win rate), Snib's excellent statistics thread http://forum.worldof...ver-statistics/ indicates that the AMX AC Mle 1948 is the best tier 8 at the moment with a 53% global win rate. Expect this to change as it gets nerfed and other tier 8's get buffed or introduced over forthcoming patches. Also part of the reason for these French vehicles having such good stats is that they are new and will have a relatively high proportion of experienced players driving them. This illustrates an important point: player skill and experience counts for more than vehicle choice - especially at tier 8 where they are lots of good tanks to choose from.

Another advantage to the tiger 2 is the tiger. It will teach you how to play a heavy and avoid getting hit :)

Out of the ones I've played (on my main US account) I'd say the best T8 tank is the T-44. Although I can't think of any tank at T8 that is bad except maybe the Super Pershing.

Haha! Let's go 1vs1, you in T44 and me in Super Pershing? ;)

Lin3's Photo Lin3 29 Aug 2012

1 v 1 T44 vs Super Pershing isn't the point when it comes to what's best for winning most games. T44 has the speed to grab important positions at the start of the battle which Super Pershing doesn't have - such as the hill on Mines. T44 has the speed to chase and intercept scouts trying to break through to friendly arty. Super Pershing doesn't. T44 has the speed to get back and break the cap when it's half the map away. T44 has the speed to be an effective arty hunter. T44 has the speed to flank and to get into side hug positions with TD's...

IS3 for me, just suits my playstyle - honourable mention to KT and Panther 2 as well.
Type 59 for money making and you're all set :)
