You only play WoT in order to be a "professional"? Wow... I always thought people play computer games for fun and relaxation, just like I do. Why would you care if you are "average" at multiple games?

Because winning some stuff while playing the game they like and the competition as a whole can't be fun, right?

Because doing something for money or rewards has to be awful and boring.

Sad world you live in.

Gratz to the OM Community! I'm sure they are still having alot of fun while playing "professional". And I bet winning competions feels more rewarding than winning publics or even taking a province.

Hmm, am I the only one who thinks 1-2 hours a day is downplaying it a "bit"?

15800 battles
6min avg per battle (?)
16 months
= 3.3 hours a day  ?

+ time spent in the garage, doing tactics, forums or whatever?

WoT has to be the greatest time drain ever second to WoW

I don't play games only with the aim of winning or acquiring money and rewards. I play for fun.
Everyone are playing games for fun since that's what the games are for. I don't know why you believe that "having fun" and "competing" has to be mutually exclusive, because that's what you've meant in the quote, above and in your previous post.

This game is clearly a PVP-centered one, hence - it's meant for competition by design. And a lot of people are playing PVP games because they enjoy at most competing in tournaments against each other with their friends, not playing random games with random people against some other random people.

The proper term is "casual".  "I play the game casually"

But yes, I agree for 100% with you if you say that that the competetive part can be a lot of fun. I only find it disappointing that you have to say I live in a sad world because I don't.
First, you've contradicted yourself in relation to your previous post. Second -I believe you've misunderstood me, but that's ok.

You might do 1-2 hours in regular basis, but then there are just nothing to do days or weekends you might play straight 6-10 hours if no one is reminding about the passing time. :)

I think this interview is perhaps a little misleading; its made to sound as if WoT is our life and we do nothing else but thats not the case, there are clans out there which do take it far more seriously than we do.

1-2 hours of playing time - i actually stated that we have more online time than real playing, because there is lots of other stuff to do.

And the 1-2 hours is the current situation. When we started we played like maniacs ... no sense in denying that, but that was not the question asked ... and that Q&A wasn´t for long, elaborated answers ... more like quick comments on the questions asked :)

And thanks for the "gratz" :)
